Does anyone know about this City of lights project? This is definitely not the cultural and entertainment centre since the centre was also discussed in that same article.

They also talked about developing the buildings in front of Al Seif palace :)

فازت المعارضة بغالبية المقاعد في مجلس الامة الكويتي ، في حين لم تنتخب اي امرأة وفق النتائج النهائية التي اعلنت رسميا اليوم الجمعة 30-6-2006 .

وبحسب مصادر رسمية ، فقد فازت المعارضة ب 33 من المقاعد الخمسين في البرلمان في مقابل 29 في البرلمان السابق,. من جهة اخرى, لم تنتخب اي امرأة من المرشحات ال 28 اللواتي شاركن في الانتخابات الاولى في تاريخ الكويت ترشيحا واقتراعا.

ومن بين اعضاء المعارضة الـ 33 الذين انتخبوا, ثمة واحد وعشرون اسلاميا, في مقابل 18 في البرلمان الذي حل في ايار/مايو بقرار من الامير على اثر جدال حول مشروع لاصلاح النظام الانتخابي.

وكانت عمليات الاقتراع في الانتخابات التشريعية الكويتية قد استمرت طوال يوم الخميس وشاركت فيها المرأة للمرة الاولى ترشحا واقتراعا, كما سجلت نسب اقبال مرتفعة جدا.

وادلت النساء بكثافة باصواتهن منذ ساعات الصباح الاولى وحتى اغلاق مراكز الاقتراع في الثامنة مساء (17,00
غرينتش ), لاختيار الاعضاء الخمسين في مجلس الامة الكويتي.
