Went for a wander around Southwark today. Here are some pics of Will Alsop's Palestra (http://www.palestra-london.com/), which is virtually completed externally.

I think it's turned out well - certainly better than I expected. The cladding is nice, very shiny and colourful, and has brightened up this rather drab area of Southwark. Architecturally, I think it's better than nearby Bankside 123 (http://www.bankside123.co.uk/) and More London (http://www.morelondon.co.uk/) (similar groundscrapers which are under construction).

Havenīt seen it in real life but imo it doesnīt look that special, looks old. But i guess it improves the depressing looking area.

Gorgeous. Not meaning to sound flippant, but it's amazing what a bit of yellow glass can do to a building, isn't it?

I'm not sure why, as they are very different designs, but this building reminds me of the College of Printing at Elephant (or the College of Communication, to give it its silly modern name). I suppose they just have glass in common.
