I'm pretty sure it'll be different, cos this one, at 31 storeys, will be a lot taller than SS1...also, SS1 was designed more than 10 years ago..surely they've had enough time to come up with a new design ;)

Development of the Senayan Square Project Continues
An urban redevelopment project is underway to create a mixed-use complex on the south side of Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta. Twenty hectares (49 acres) of land were procured from the government by way of a 40-year lease, at the end of which the land and buildings must be returned to the government free of charge, under what is known as a build-operate-transfer (BOT) scheme.
Kajima Overseas Asia Pte. Ltd. (KOA) began the development in 1989. The shopping mall opened in 1996, followed by the first office building and twin luxury apartment towers. The project provides a lavish space where visitors can easily stroll through the facilities, escaping the bustle of the capital city.
The unique feature of the project is that Kajima is handling the commercial development as well as the design and construction, and that the project is operated by Kajima's local subsidiary P.T. Senayan Trikarya Sempana. Kajima's expertise in a wide range of fields, accumulated over many years, has been harnessed to manage Senayan Square. Today, the development has such a commanding presence in the locality that the word "Senayan" now normally refers to the Shopping Center, Plaza Senayan, rather than the locality. The quality of Plaza Senayan is amply demonstrated by the numerous specialty shops, including high-end international fashion brand stores found there, and the approximately 15 million visitors per year.
Construction underway alongside the existing 18-story office tower
Although political uncertainty resulted in the temporary suspension of the project, the situation stabilized under the leadership of President Yudhoyono who took office in the latter part of 2004, and project work resumed in December 2005 with the start of construction of a second office tower. The new tower will be 28 stories tall--10 stories higher than the first and neighboring office tower--with one level below ground. Kajima's Architectural Design Division produced the basic design, which was finalized by Kajima Design Asia Pte. Ltd. (KDA). P.T. Kajima Indonesia is constructing the new building, which is scheduled for completion in late 2007. The project represents the consolidation of Kajima's collective power in the southern hemisphere.

Sentral Senayan III dibangun tahun ini
JAKARTA: PT Senayan Trikarya Sempana, perusahaan properti hasil kerja sama Kajima Overseas Asia Pte. Ltd Jepang (90%)dan Badan Pengelola Bung Karno (10%), akan mulai membangun gedung perkantoran sewa Sentral Senayan III pada tahun ini.
Vonny Subakti, Deputi Manager Legal & GA Department Senayan Trikarya, mengatakan pembangunan gedung yang terletak di Jalan Asia Afrika, Senayan, Jakarta Pusat itu, ditargetkan selesai pada 2010.
Sentral Senayan III merupakan lanjutan proyek pembangunan Sentral Senayan I yang selesai pada 1997 dan Sentral Senayan II yang kelar dibangun pada November 2007.
Sentral Senayan I memiliki 18 lantai, sedangkan Sentral Senayan II yang memiliki luas 52.000 meter persegi itu mempunyai 28 lantai. Senayan Sentral III juga akan dibangun dengan 28 lantai. (Bisnis/yes)

untuk lokasi bisa dilihat dari foto hasil postingan "tollfreak", lokasinya yang di belakang billboard bioskop itu, yang pohon2 itu loh
kalo sekarang dilihat ke lokasi malah lebih mudeng, karna udah ditutup seng

Cuma sebagai gambaran, benar kalo nantinya jumlah lantai akan sama dengan sentral senayan 2, hanya perbedaan di floor to floor (tinggi lantai) yang lebih tinggi sekitar 7 cm (kayaknya gak ngaruh ya).
Selain itu juga ada annex carpark 2, lokasi ke belakang kana dari sentral senayan 3

sepertinya STC awalnya mau niru mall IT/ITC concept di tengah2 shopping area kayak Pantip Plaza di Bangkok, Lucky Plaza di Singapore atau Low Yat Plaza dan Sungei Wang di Kuala Lumpur. Tapi sayangnya udah ada Ratu Plaza di daerah Senayan untuk IT dan ITC Permata Hijau untuk ITC mall just 5 mins away.
Anyways, sepertinya foundation sentral senayan udah mau selesai ya?, dalam PS jadi kelihatan agak "gelap" IMO jika mengarah ke ex pintu marygold(coffee bean).

you may hate the design, but this is a "japanese building" - well known for its long realibility.

The design might be seen as 'outdated' but the most important thing is that the building should not disturb the existing buildings of the complex (Sentral Senayan I and Sentral Senayan III). In contradiction to other developments in Jakarta which are a mishmash of different architectural styles (o.a. Sahid Jaya complex). Sentral Senayan is a good example of how future developments should be designed.
The architectural style of Sentral Senayan III tower is consistent with the Sentral Senayan I and II towers and this creates a level of harmony and balance, something which according to me is contributing to the attractiveness of the complex.
MikaGe August 25th, 2009, 10:02 PM plus, it's no that bad actually. The tile cladding are pretty neat, moreover it's a very common option for any skyscraper in Japan, somehow they maintain their identity I believe :D
Btw, wait until they assemble and place the window panels. You'll impressed how they do that.

yang punya Kajima, perusahaan Jepang, yang lebih pegang prinsip aman daripada banyak hiasan.
kalaupun (tentu saja semoga jangan sampai) nanti ada gempa besar di Jakarta, gedung-gedung Sentral Senayan ini yang kemungkinan besar paling aman konstruksinya. (bisa diliat di gempa besar Fukushima kemarin, gedung-gedung di Tokyo aman semua).

@Jrot: Jer kayaknya gw perhatiin bukan precast tuh. Pake sistem "plester aci finish cat". Soalnya ketahuan pake batu bata. Tapi IMO bisa saja jelek-jelek gedungnya tapi menjadi gedung teraman di Indonesia, karena tahan gempa (CMIIW).

walaupun ga glassy, orang bule lebih suka tinggal di apt seperti itu.
