comming from Dubai , its just after the new interchange 4.5 and just before the emmar office park and the greens.
I think those plots on SZR next to the gas station are going to be biggies

Guys as I told you the twins are on C003 007 as they are oposite the first road into the greens. They are also seperated from the front row of towers by the completed road which has parking on it. The first row of towers (directly on SZR) currently have 2 massive DAMAC sign boards on them and the access road onto SZR wghich is about to be moved. Once this raccess road goes along with teh DAMAC signs those C001-001 to C001-C003 will be prime time real estate with big towers. I ahve already seen the propsal for the last EMAAR plot on the oposite corner (currently EMMAR sales office) and its about 40F

I was also in the area. I saw it from the beach where you were taking the night pictures of the Palm (One&Only Hotel). First I thought it came from the Al-Kazim towers area, because there were lots of trees in the foreground. Luckily it was just some accomodation containers !

There's another 30+ tower called Al Amera that is under construction. I would say that tower is most modern looking in the TECOM area and the plot is on the corner, just next to the Palm (4.5) Interchange.

The skyline of this part of Dubai looks a bit like a random town in Texas (not taking into account the Burj in the back)

For the next 2-3 years, this area will be a major ghost town. Dubai's media is taking an absolute battering with thousands of jobs on the line, not to mention all the offshoots, e.g. advertising agencies, PR companies, etc. Worse still, the media is being silenced in a systematic campaign by the government not to report the negative impact of the recession - so they've already lost vital ad revenue to keep them alive (hence the current mass layoffs across radio, tv and print media) but now they're also losing the relative "freedom" of expression they once enjoyed (Construction Week, Arabian Business, etc). Way to commit suicide Dubai Inc. Well done. :ohno:

it is next the building i live in (next to Legacy hotel residency)
i am moving soon from that place, i used to adore that are, where you can access the lakes, the springs, the greens, MOE in no time. but the construction is unbearable :ohno: and you have to spend almost 20 minutes on that specific road every morning because of the bottle necking that occurs between people coming out of TECOM, and the greens area.

Hey Imre,
I worked at the site of the big building in the front with one crane still on top of it as a trainee engineer when I was in Dubai last year. It should be finished somewhere in the coming months, but it seems that work doesn't go very quickly... Maybe you can check it again. I'm very curious to 'my' project in Dubai :) It's build by Convrgnt Value Engineering and they called it the TECOM Tower (J182), so not a final name yet. Hope to see this thread updated!

Al Yasat Holdings LLC, one of the region’s leading real estate developers, has announced that it has finished work on the 22nd floor of the 47-storey The One Tower commercial project at TECOM C on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Once completed, the tower will feature more than 380,000 square feet of executive offices, a business center, more than 16,000 square feet of showroom space, restaurants, a health club and a penthouse. The project has been designed to provide unobstructed 360-degree views of Dubai Media City and its prominent developments. It will be the only commercial building to be connected to the TECOM C Metro Station, via a footbridge linking the tower’s podium 1 to the rail terminal, which incidentally also makes it the only building in Dubai to be directly connected to a metro station.

There was soil testing going on today on the plot on top of the roundabout in the picture, just next to Thuraya tower
