View Full Version : SANTIAGO | Titanium La Portada Tower | 195m | 55 fl | Com

The smog increases to the winter season, because of the "greenhouse effect" generated by climatic and land conditions, you know Santiago is surrounded by hills and mountains, so the natural ventilation in winter decreases in a dramatic way, then it appears this shit. On spring and Summer, ventilation goes better and smog is low.
Also because of the decreasing temperatures in the cold seasons. Low temperatures and thus, higher pressure over the Santiago valley, don´t allow for the smog to climb to higher altitudes like in the hotter seasons. BUT, if we get rain is whole different picture. Stay tuned for some amazing pictures of the completed building after rain, with the Andes Mountains cover in snow at the background. And clean air! Those pictures will surely come.

hehe , i guess you are joking right ? , all Latin America is about contrast ; even Santiago itself despite the great modern areas has some old and not so nice areas..i have seen big big slums underneath new higways...so lets just dont jump saying silly things...
If is just about showing the nice modern areas well thats ok...but we all know what the real thing is...Santiago is not Las condes or Providencia area ,theres a whole city arround this... and definitely not the only city with modern areas in L.A. just think of Puerto Madero wich is a fantastic constrution booming place in Buenos Aires or Santa Fe area in Mexico City...
ok so comming to whats important i like this building very much , love the design and i think it fits perfectly in the area, its for sure that this skyscraper changes the city's skyline a lot...

Titanium Tower was affected by the earthquake but there's no major damage, here some pictures...
