This is almost a completed project that will be adjacent to the Gardens Mall in PBG. It will have shops, movie theaters, and an interesting selection of restaurants, some of which are branches off of famous Manhattan restaurants. Here is the website w/more info!

I don't make it back to Miami much anymore......but I grew up eating at Lum's....hot dogs steamed in beer. Whatever happened to them? I never see them anymore....any left?

The one on 7th Avenue does not have the original menu.

I found an Original LUMS in Davie last year. It is owned by an original franchisee and retains its original character and menu.

My wife was a big fan of LUMS and when I told her that I was taking her for a surprise restaurant meal, she wondered what I was up too. We live near Dadeland, so when I told her we were headed to Broward, she told me "This better be good".

I took the Turnpike and exited on Griffin Road headed west to 64th ave and pulled into the LUMS in Davie. She couldn't believe it. I swear she had tears in her eyes.

Well, the large LUMS sign welcomed us and the old Tiffany-styled lamps adorned our table. To her shock, her favorite: The Ollie Burger was on the menu. We had a great nostalgic meal and a wonderful evening making new friends in Davie. I was a hero! We have been back several times and always enjoy it. They still have the steamed in beer hotdogs. Anyone that is a fan of LUMs must visit. It is truly a "Back to the Future" adventure.

I hope you try it some day soon.

So this Downtown @ the Gardens place, it looks sort of like City Place in Orlando... anyone know of similar projects going on like that further south?
