Your travel report about Hamburg sounds like you haven't seen the "Gründerzeitviertel" like Eppendorf. ;)

I was passing by... but didn't really check it out. It would have been worse? I stayed in the very north of the city (Ohlstedt). I was many times in Hamburg, but mostly only 1 or 2 days :( Anyway, I still think it's the greatest of all German cities!

No, I was amused. ;) The "Gründerzeitviertel" are nice. Full of buildings from the late 19th century which survived WWII. Only a few brick buildings to fill the gaps. Next time you are in Hamburg, take the U3 until Sternschanze and walk around in this quarter, which has still this alternative feeling, although the 19th-century buildings were renovated and the gentrification is in a rather late stage already. Then take the U3 until Eppendorfer Baum and watch managers and Porsche-drivers unsuccessfully playing father. ;)

:rofl: Sounds nice! Hope that I make it up there again. I was especially visiting a friend who has been living now in Moscow for many years - so I haven't been up to the Fischköpp anymore since 2000 :(

I already read most of them. The Brazil reports are very nice. I really like the pictures of the old and the new Sampa.
