Well, I was looking at a Klang Valley map when this name caught my full attention...
Mimaland... I remember vaguely there was a waterpark and was one of the hot holiday spots in Klang Valley. Anyone from the 80s would remember.
What happens to Mimaland now? Does anyone have any pics?

Mimaland
Mimaland, a recreational resort situated 18 km Northeast of Kuala Lumpur, sprawls over twelve hectares of Gombak's hilly grounds, lakes and mountain streams. Visitors can fish and boat, trek in the surrounding jungle, or swim in the largest pool in Southeast Asia. Accommodation is available in either chalets or stilt houses on the resort's lake.
Mimaland is open from 8.00am to 12 pm daily.
Admission is RM2 for adults and RM1 for children.

Hmmm.......the last time I've had any 'contact' with Mimaland is when I was passing thru its entrance on the way to visit an outdoor camp. I asked the driver to slow down :D But that was like 6 years ago and sadly the signages are aging fast. I wonder if those are still there :?
Frankly speaking......I dunno what happened but Mimaland is like THE place to visit. I remembered staying there.....it is like the Sunway Lagoon of the 70s and 80s. Sad that it is gone :(

What happens to Mimaland now? Does anyone have any pics?
I dun have any pics but should I have also it would be those with me in it :D
Anyway I believe the last time I was there was 1989. The themepark closes its doors in 1995 to be redeveloped into a golfing destination called the Mimaland Golf Resort. :(

i was born in 1985.... so, i dont know whats Mimaland and how Mamaland look like.
