andysimo123 February 8th, 2006, 11:01 PM From that first amazing pic it looks like two small build ups. Just the the right of city tower we will see Eastgate, Sarah tower, the Crown building and the others in round there. Other side where Beetham is we'll see HS1 and those other buildings go up.

CJC certainly has a massive impact on the Manchester skyline.
Manc Guy February 9th, 2006, 12:05 AM Once i again, that ed be a fantastic banner possibilty...GN tower looks, errrr weird...
Liam-Manchester February 9th, 2006, 12:06 AM Superb pic, one of the best I've seen. I think one of the most noticeable things about that view is the impact the Sunley/City Tower reclad has had on the skyline, looks so much better than before.

Data, all around this forum! I put it together on Photoshop and Paint. Reference points were the nearest existing visible building. Ie. I used 111 Piccadilly to measure up Eastgate, Sarah, Crown. Tempus + North Tower for Greengate. Etc.
Sir Miles Platting February 9th, 2006, 03:29 AM Fantastic pano Caw, shame our first real scraper coudn't be in it.
I know our town is too bleeding wide from that angle and I realise it's not the same when you stitch them together no matter how 'seamless' you can make it. I'm gonna be in over this summer and I'll endeavour to get some shots of the city from Heaton Park golf course or from up the micro-wave tower if I can get past security.
I'll also try and get a few from Boggart-Hole Clough as well, as some of the best skyline pix I've ever seen have been taken from there. All the buildings seem to rise up out of a blanket of trees, similar to some of the Brum shots we've seen only much closer and better!
