Philip Cronin February 14th, 2006, 05:51 AM Glass, glass everywhere. The 21st century's concrete. Pray the fashion passes soon.
Jake_the_Peg February 14th, 2006, 01:30 PM Do you have any more details of Epsom, Mr. Hunted? Is it on this scale?

If were talking about stadiums then I don't think thats really true, very few that I can think of used concrete for anything other than functional needs(highbury and wembley are really the only two that sptring to mind) were as the main function of glass these days is to make stadiums more aesthetically pleasing.
inquisitor57 February 14th, 2006, 07:02 PM This building looks really great, I'm surprised no ones mentioned it before.
JUXTAPOL February 14th, 2006, 08:45 PM Wow that is a stunning stand, i like the tree like supporting structures.
Wide shot showing the scale of the development.

Engels April 12th, 2006, 02:36 AM Well that's a lot better than what was there before... t'was a pile of shit when i used to work there a few years ago. Ugly, drafty and i was never surprised when people used to not bother turning up to their hospitality boxes on a cold wet day, it never seemed like a hospitable place.
A tremendous improvement no doubt

Glass does not make anything aesthetically pleasing. It looks cheap and banal.
london lad April 14th, 2006, 11:18 AM Phillip- In all the times you have popped up in this forum you always say the same thing- i.e modern buildings made of glass & steel are crap
What do you like & consider good design as im sure theres loads of on here that would like to know ;) ????
