Mailing will be done only on the 8th Mar. Thus, I'm thinking if we can create the nomination and election write-ups to be included so that those who can't attend the meeting will not miss out on submitting a nomination.

Anyway I am driving an SUV......a Mitsubishi Pajero V6 3500. So that would be 3.5 litres :dizzy: :cry:

i wonder why everyone is just talking on how much more they need to spend to fill up their tanks vs. what they can do differently to reduce petrol consumption. I guess people are so used to "subsidies" that they only know how to scream murder when it is withdrawn... sad sad.

To me... everyone should just accept the fact and figure out how to reduce consumption. I look at it positively, if people start to move to public transport or reduce driving or car pool... Jln Jelatek will be smoother :)

So... folks... start thinking how to reduce consumption... car pool, drive wifey to work, take public transport, change to more efficient car, walk to the mamak behind Setiawangsa (instead of driving :) )

Yea....you're right ;) But the Malaysian mentality is that no one wants to carpool. I am a strong proponent of car-pooling since I took up driving. It is very difficult to convince people. Not that I did not try. :ohno:

For now I swap car with my dad if I am driving far cause he is driving a diesel ( actually I 'inherited' his Pajero :D ). Although his Diesel car is not small but the fuel consumption is far lesser as Diesel engines burns less fuel than petrol ones. Apart from that Diesel is still cheaper ;)

There is this instance ....a few years back actually......I purposedly took my dad's Pajero which could sit 7 ( legally :D ) to send one of my very good friend off to Australia at KLIA. So I started to organised a carpool. In the end I only have 2 other person following my car. A total of 14 of us at the airport, there are 10 cars! :eek: . Okay some might say that they have got prior and afterwards engagements but the fact is that none of em had and we met afterwards for mamak session. And the beauty part is that everyone lives within a short distance to each other! :bash:

^^ Oh yea....I would also take public transportation if it were to be a bit more efficient. I seriously do not mind those rickety pink mini buses that served my area as their freqency is fantastic as there are usually buses waiting for customers. Even if there are none. It is GUARANTEED that there would be one in 5 mins. Things changed after Intrakota took over and things had not been better for RapidKL too :( Nowadays spotting a comet is better than a bus :D

I have a passion in bringing people around town esp tourists. A few years back I wanted a shift to my usual itenary and I planned to include public transportation. The monorail and LRTs are no problem but imagine that we had to wait 45mins for a KTM Komuter at 7:30pm on a weekday! :rant: Okay....so no more Komuter for me now :ohno:

Our taxis are also legendary. Nearly all the time they would ask where you wanna go. There is this once when I actually tried flagging down 8 taxis and none wanted to take me from Sungei Wang to KLCC where my car is parked (my friend and I decided to walk to Bkt Bintang. Nearly all asked for some ridiculous price of RM10 for such a short journey. It was 7:45pm. Not to mentioned that our taxis are cramped and small. And if compared to cities like Bangkok, HK and Singapore, our taxi numbers are a shame. We simply do not have enuf taxis to begin with and those with taxi license are abusing em. I understand that our taxis drivers are not paid well but should they improve their services and cars, I am sure the public wouldn't mind a slight increase in pricing :yes:

Sorry for the ranting but public transportation in the Klang Valley still had a long way to go ;)

I dont think you can minus that one 1% from your deposit up front. The 1% as you know, is meant for the introducer so the cheque will be issued in that person's name, not yours. What you can deduct up front is the package for the kitchen and wardrobes.
