Been there and it's certainly imposing! But it appears ever so unfinished, just like the square it sits in. Considering the lavish architecture elsewhere in Mexico City, it pales in comparison. 7

Can anyone offer more information on it? Was it designed as it now stands, or is it still a work in progress?

*And note to Mexico City- all the giant flags are...well...just tacky.;)

This was the "lobby" of an unfinished government building...the original project was huge...

63 meters tall, started in around the early 1900's as a palace then stoped in 1910 by the revolution.... Finished in 1938.
