style515 February 24th, 2006, 03:07 AM You guys are a lot like Des Moines and their "Principal Tower". Expose your only real skyscraper to everyone as much as you can.
DTO Luv February 24th, 2006, 03:16 AM Whatever. I think everyone on here knows your deal.
LJK123 February 24th, 2006, 03:18 AM man i really like that tower... too bad it's in Omaha.
style515 February 24th, 2006, 03:59 AM Whatever. I think everyone on here knows your deal.
Well, you can't deny it, it is true. Des Moines and Omaha are constantly at war, and don't realize no one outside either of their respective counties cares.
Avian001 February 24th, 2006, 05:33 AM ^I care...This is one of the Midwest's great towers. It has grace, height and sophistication.
AtlantaGA February 24th, 2006, 05:48 AM These are great pics DTO. I also think this building is nice.
Rogee February 24th, 2006, 05:52 AM Great pictures... that's a cool building. I seriously want to visit Omaha someday. It's got that whole indie-rock thing going on.
style515 February 24th, 2006, 06:25 AM Great pictures... that's a cool building. I seriously want to visit Omaha someday. It's got that whole indie-rock thing going on.
lmao, it's more like they have ONE impressive building in an entire state.
Avian001 February 24th, 2006, 07:01 AM lmao, it's more like they have ONE impressive building in an entire state.
Style515, give it a rest, please.
I'll repeat, ^I care...This is one of the Midwest's great towers. It has grace, height and sophistication.
(And Style515, with all due respect, if you still care to diss Omaha that's OK, but do it on the grounds of design or urban planning. You're smart enough to do that I hope, because I have read some good comments from you in other threads. But if you want to go further and condemn the people of Omaha for trying to create a beautiful city for themselves, then you need to tell them specifically why you think their efforts are wasted. If you are not qualified to do that, then you should keep quiet. :) )
style515 February 24th, 2006, 07:10 AM Sorry, but there is nothing "indie" about it besides the fact that rock band 311 is from there.
And Des Moines has Slipknot.
i_am_hydrogen February 24th, 2006, 07:32 AM Great building. Looks good at night.
style515, you're like an annoying gnat that won't go away.
DTO Luv February 24th, 2006, 08:01 AM Here are some of the more modern buildings in Omaha.

Ingersoll1978 February 24th, 2006, 08:13 AM Credit is due...those are beautiful pics of FNC. The pics of the Holland Center are cool too...especially at night with the top glowing. What kind of camera do you use DTO?
DTO Luv February 24th, 2006, 08:21 AM A disposable one. ;) Some kind of Kodak. I just point and click and hope it turns out nice.
style515 February 24th, 2006, 08:29 AM Well, Des Moines is definitely losing the battle. Omaha actually looks somewhat impressive, I must admit.
I like the Qwest Center, the Wells Fargo arena was designed worse than "The Barn".
LJK123 February 24th, 2006, 08:56 AM That is a great tower , way to go Omaha.... but seriously Des Moines BLOWS Omaha away in skyline and urbanity.
DTO Luv February 24th, 2006, 09:10 AM That is a great tower , way to go Omaha.... but seriously Des Moines BLOWS Omaha away in skyline and urbanity.
How is this about Des Moines? And Omaha is way more urban.
style515 February 24th, 2006, 09:35 AM Neither is impressive, unless you're originally from small-town Iowa or Nebraska.
Both are basically New York City to people of their respective state.
rider_of_rohan February 25th, 2006, 07:51 AM Well, you can't deny it, it is true. Des Moines and Omaha are constantly at war, and don't realize no one outside either of their respective counties cares.
Geeze style give it up just for once will ya? First National is a beauty :D
Oshkosh49 February 25th, 2006, 02:42 PM From what I can tell from the great pictures provided by DTO Luv, Omaha has some beautiful buildings and an impressive central business district.
colts0315 February 25th, 2006, 03:14 PM Great pics. That is a beautiful building; I am very impressed with its design
cwilson758 February 25th, 2006, 06:19 PM I would love to have that tower in Indy.
