English spoken at most destinations, and yes I speak some Japanese, just enough to make myself understood at of-the-beaten-track spots there. French people more often, in my experience, unwilling to understand you if you speak very little French!

Rubbish, I've never had a problen in France, most people I had to talk to to get things or whatever spoke perfect English.

Most of the Iraqis are great people and a had a great time there, but it does rain in the winter and english is rarely spoken. Plus the infrastructure is in most cases umm... nonexcisting. And for the love of all the is holy, don't drink the tapwater!

The ratings are very broad... can't we break them up into categories?

Pollution, lifestyle, cost of living/holidaying, culture (architecture + clothes), food?

Canada: 100/100 - perfect in everything really, I wanna live there D:

Australia: 100/100 - perfect! Just that beaches/warmth isn't my thing ;)

Singapore: 70/100 -- 20/20 on pollution, 10/20 on lifestyle, 10/20 on costs, 10/10 on culture, 20/20 on food

Malaysia: 85/100 -- 15/20 on pollution, 15/20 on lifestyle, 15/20 on costs, 20/20 on culture, 20/20 on food

England: 75/100 -- 5/20 on pollution (London was just putrid), 15/20 on lifestyle, 15/20 on costs, 20/20 on architecture & food.

Spain: 80/100 ---20/20 on pollution (barcelona looked great!), 20/20 on lifestyle, 15/20 on costs, 15/20 on culture, 10/20 on food.

Not as expensive as central London though I bet. As a general rule, the further away from London you go, the cheaper things are, especially housing/hotels and other accomodation but also things like cinemas, haircuts, hiring tradespeople, pubs and restaurants etc

I guess with the current exchange rate though (£1=$1.75), most places in the UK are going to be more expensive than most places in the US.

Brazil - 80 (big regional differences, but top in people, city development and cuisine)
Argentina - (I only know the Iguazu park... no rating)

UK - 90 (-10 for the horrible public transport)
Ireland - 60 (Dublin is trash, the rest of the country great ;))
France - 80 (minus points for the arrogant people - except in the south)
Spain - 70 (big regional differences)
Portugal - 75 (I only know Lisboa region)
Italy - 80 (put the traffic away and you get a 100!)
Greece - 100 (I heard Athens got much better, so no minus points for the rest of the country was always great! ;))
Slovenia - 95 (great country!)

Austria - 100 (no deficit)
Liechtenstein - 80 (beautiful, but like a boring Swiss canton :lol: )

Belgium - 50 (some beautiful cities, but...)
Netherlands - 60 (cities, museums, landscape 100, people and cuisine 20...)
Denmark - 70 (Copenhagen 95, rest a bit dull)

Norway - 100 (most wonderful country in Europe! Okay, maybe a minus point for expensivness)
Finland - 95 (nearly in par with the upper one)
Russia - (I only know Moscow and that gets an 80)

Africa:
Algeria - 70 (100 for landscape, people and cuisine, minus points for the civil war that distroyed a lot :( )
Madagascar - 100 I would like to give... but I reduce to 80 for Tana is a hell of a place for a tourist and the deforestation takes too much toll :(

Asia:
Emirates - only know Dubai airport area 10 years ago, no rating
Malaysia - 90 (KL is great, the landscape fascinating)
Indonesia - 100 (most beautiful and diverse Asian country, superb cuisine, nice people (except in Kuta Bali), wonderful landscape and fauna...)

1.Oslo - really the worst destination, don't go there and avoid it. Cold, sad, lonely - like old man.
2.Helsinki - empty, cold and sad. There you will know what it lfeels like to be alone.
3.Stockholm - cold and sad, grey waters, cold people. Young people become old there, beautifull become ugly, happy beceomes sad. Try to avoid it.
4. North Britain - poverty, dangerous agressive ugly people, grey sky, cold winds, rain, boring night life, embarassing dirty pubs instead of stylish bars - depressing experience

Germany...90....Great places

Holland.....90...Beautiful country

Turkey...100....I just cant tell you how much i loved being there

Canada...100.....Great experience, nice people, you feel real comfortable

Pakistan...85.....I lived there for a year and it was a good experience. It is not as bad as people make it out to be.

Afghanistan....50( born there).....I can safely say that it was garbage back then and it is garbage now.

United states.....no votes since I live here.

it was okay sometimes, but half of the time when we wanted to get around the city it was just ridiculous with slow speeds and stopping all the time, even the cabbie said it was ¨unusual¨ .. and on top of that London cabs are so expensive :/

we also left for gattwick airport and there was traffic all the way on the freeway which was painful and made the journey twice as long, ended up costing 120 pounds after negotiations.. which really hurt the pocket as u can imagine lol

Montego Bay, Jamaica- Amazing people, Ritz Carlton here was gorgeous and memorable, food was tremendous, however - for city (lol if u can call it that) and dependancy on resorts for entertainment- OVERALL: 80 Tourist Location

Cancun, Mexico- Again same as above as a tourist city, great food, Moon Palace was huge, - for hurricane (i know its a natural, but it tainted the experience), and its built for tourism OVERALL: 70 TOURIST Location

India- My ancestral lands. Mumbai is a 50, I loathed the place. Just dirty and poor, but maybe If I go out with my cousins it will be funner dunno. New Dehli is a 90, NICE ROADS for a change, fairly modern, amazing hotel (Sheraton Maurya). However, Im sure I just didnt see the Old Dehli, which is invetibly home to more poverty. Udaipur is a 90, beautifal hotel (Taj Lake Palace), nice setting, breathable air, great Jain temple nearby. Jaipur, uhgh like a 40. Its dirty, overrated and bad hotel experience....

US-
NYC- Live near here but its a 10000
San Fransisco- GORGEOUS....100/100 Just beautifal setting, streets, and nice people, very affluent city
Dallas, Texas- Ehh sprawlathon city, 60/100
Orlando, Florida- Disney World 90, awesome place. City 20/100, lol is there even a city. Also too many cheap motels everywhere...
