Yes, this is very interesting indeed. We have never seen it here in Dubai, however all SZR towers on that side of the road have also a outdor parking lot behind the multistorey parking or even between the tower and the multistorey parking lot (API Tower).

YAY hope fully another 300m!!!!!!!

the one next to it (between liberty tower and this one here) has 54 floors as the signboard says

signboards for both plots have been installed simultaneously and look the same

Now that more info came out, I doubt it is a single project of two towers, becouse both the developers and the architecs are different on both towers.

i guess they will be in 2 different locations!

I think they'll be one behind the other, or maybe the first car park is integrated into the tower design and there is also a searate one. I think we have seen such proposal for SZR on a Cityscape broschure by a local architect.

PS - Maybe the two car park tower will have one car park integrated into the tower as a podium and one at the back of the tower itself, like other SZR towers?

maybe plot 1 (closest to SZR) will be for the tower, the second plot will have a ground level car park, like API and the 3rd plot, bordering the road behind SZR will have the multi storey car park for the tower?

See!!!!! The first car park, although behind the tower, is part of the main tower itself, the second one is likely to be behind the tower, connected by a bridge I would imagine.

I say about 270m. It doesn't have a spire so I doubt 71 floors are enough to reach 300m. I remember seeing this one before as a proposal.

i hope it crosses 300m...remember maybe the developers want to cross one they find out how close it is...just put a spire on it and thats it...pls!

Now that I'm comparing those two, they seams different and even the names are mentioned slightly different: "H.H.H R Tower" and "H.H.H Tower"

Maybe the "R" stands for "Right" refering to the positioning, and the first one is actually the 54F on the next plot, while the second one is the correect tower for this plot.

I've copied the picture in three parts. I don't think you can enlarge the frame on a flash website.

It has a striking resemblence to the Grosvenor House, West Marina Beach.... The only diff is that this is blue. It looks very Canadian for some reason.... :weirdo:

^^ The logos are indeed of DBBCG, but I don't think they are involved. Most of construction machineries are rented, so the concrete blocks may be rented as well.

That is the board for the other commercial tower, being build on the other plot between HHH and Liberty Towers.

The towers are not related, owners and architects are different. The only thing in common is Dutch Foundation that is doing the piling for both.

^^ There's only one. Actually none of the towers in that aerea has underground floors. For parkings they have a separate structure located behind them and usually connected to the tower with a sky bridge.

This is becouse when they started building in this aerea, the space was abondand (used to be a desert patch) and going underground would have been expensive due to excessive underground water.

ive added this to dubais 300m+ diagrams. Im trying to workout height.
looks like 72storeys x 4m=290m.the spire measures at 55m above roof, thus 345m? thats what im going with. let me know when official height is known.

^^ They don't have a contractor for the HHH tower yet, so not much going on, except preparing the site for the raft foundation. As for the Sheikh Hasher Tower: What about it? There is no construction whatsoever related to that tower.

You can't see any sign of the actual central core on the above pictures, but as of today the core is already on the second floor (G + 2) or three steps up, and of course the first floor slab has been completed a week or 10 days ago.

Commenting on HHHR Tower, Mr. Saeed Massoudi said that it will be built at an estimated cost of AED 750 million. The Tower will be designed to accommodate show rooms at the ground and mezzanine floors, offices up to 4th floor and 454 luxury apartments with all modern amenities and recreation facilities.


HHHR Tower will be built on behalf of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, represented by Dubai International Real Estate and, the project will be executed under the consultancy of Al Hashemi Planners, Architects and Engineers. International Project Management is the project manager for HHHR Tower.


He added that Hip Hing is one of the leading contracting companies in Hong Kong, China and South East Asia with established credentials in the fields of high-rise construction, enabling, civil engineering, electro-mechanical, architectural and interior design. The value of work currently in hand exceeds US$ 2.5 billion.


Commenting on the launch of HHHR Tower, Mr. Saeed Massoudi said: "We are pleased to be associated with this prestigious tower, yet another landmark of Dubai for our esteemed client HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance. This iconic tower is located at one of the most prominent locations on Sheikh Zayed Road and it will have two separate multi-storey parking buildings to accommodate more than 900 vehicles."


About future plans Mr. Massoudi mentioned: "We have already expanded our operations to other Arab countries like Syria and we are considering expanding our activities to other Asian and African countries."


Commenting on the JV, Mr. Allan Chan, Executive Director, Hip Hing Overseas Ltd said: "We are glad to enter into a joint venture partnership with Al Ahmadiah Contracting & TradingAl Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading which has a rich heritage of 37 years in the UAE. Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hasher Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum, we are planning to expand our activities to other construction related activities in the UAE. We are already into advanced negotiations for major projects which could be executed in a similar manner to that of HHHR Tower. The JV Company is currently looking at projects in the Emirates of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Sharjah."

Dubai: UAE-based Al Ahmadiah Contracting and Trading, which counts Ibn Battuta Mall and Al Marooj Complex among its construction contracts, has teamed up with a Hong Kong-based contractor to build a Dh750 million tower in Dubai.

The 70-storey HHHR Tower, a commercial and residential complex, will be built on Shaikh Zayed Road next to Crown Plaza Hotel.

Project developer Dubai International Real Estate, which represents Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, on Tuesday formally awarded the contract to a joint venture between Al Ahmadiah and Hong Kong-based Hip Hing Overseas.

The joint venture company, Al Ahmadiah Hip Hing JV, is currently bidding for contracts on major UAE contracts such as Dubai Waterfront, a Nakheel development linked to Palm Jebel Ali.

Its first project, HHHR Tower, will include 454 luxury apartments and four storeys of office space. Construction, which began in February, is scheduled for completion in May 2009.

The project will be executed under the consultancy of Al Hashemi Planners, Architects and Engineers.

Representatives from Al Ahmadiah said the joint venture was formed to allow it to benefit from Hip Hing's engineering expertise and its pool of Chinese skilled and unskilled labour.

Al Ahmadiah is currently working on a portfolio of contracts worth more than Dh2 billion, including construction on Dubai Mall, part of Emaar's Downtown Burj Dubai development.

^^ No, flo it is actually very slender from the SZR direction and is progressing very well compared to the dead slow Latifa and Maze build by ze Germens of Pegel :tongue2:

However you will see it from the side 90% of the time you look at it. this is what matters, due to its height the view on the fat side won't even be blocked.
