AltinD February 25th, 2006, 10:42 PM Finally things are clearing up on this part of SZR. No render yet, but hopefully (or should I say surely) another 300 meter tower.

AltinD February 25th, 2006, 10:49 PM two parking towers! :D
Yes, this is very interesting indeed. We have never seen it here in Dubai, however all SZR towers on that side of the road have also a outdor parking lot behind the multistorey parking or even between the tower and the multistorey parking lot (API Tower).
THE DUBAI GUYS February 25th, 2006, 10:54 PM YAY hope fully another 300m!!!!!!!
R
dubaiflo February 26th, 2006, 12:35 AM very interesting...things clear up slowly on SZR.
malec February 26th, 2006, 03:03 AM Hope we get a render for this soon
Chad February 26th, 2006, 03:10 AM How many storey is the 21st Century Tower?
SA BOY February 26th, 2006, 08:09 AM 54
Dubai-Lover February 26th, 2006, 07:00 PM great
i think that this is more or less a twin tower project
the one next to it (between liberty tower and this one here) has 54 floors as the signboard says
signboards for both plots have been installed simultaneously and look the same
it has to be one project consisting of 2 towers
dubaiflo February 26th, 2006, 07:30 PM it has to be al rafi :bash:
Face81 February 26th, 2006, 08:38 PM I hate all this waiting!
I want to know what this is now! :bash:
Also, there is no news on that other tower near #1 Tower Suites! :bash:
Stephan23 February 26th, 2006, 10:20 PM Can't wait for the picture. Hope Dubai take this week and take it as a model for this and the next years.
Hope it go on like this week. Pleaaaazzzzzzzzzze!
AltinD February 26th, 2006, 11:11 PM Now that more info came out, I doubt it is a single project of two towers, becouse both the developers and the architecs are different on both towers.
Face81 February 27th, 2006, 09:19 AM ^^ so it will be two towers and two car parks? :D Good news!!!!
AltinD February 27th, 2006, 01:02 PM ^^ Don't confuse please.
1 x 71F Tower + 2 x 11F Parking lots on this plot
1 x 54F Tower + 1 x ??F Parking lot on the next plot.
Dubai-Lover February 27th, 2006, 01:19 PM have a look at the car park plots
i guess they will be in 2 different locations!
AltinD February 27th, 2006, 01:35 PM I think they'll be one behind the other, or maybe the first car park is integrated into the tower design and there is also a searate one. I think we have seen such proposal for SZR on a Cityscape broschure by a local architect.
dubaiflo February 27th, 2006, 03:20 PM i advise you to search for the brochure. now :D
Face81 February 27th, 2006, 04:16 PM ^^ And I demand that you look for it now. :D
PS - Maybe the two car park tower will have one car park integrated into the tower as a podium and one at the back of the tower itself, like other SZR towers?
dubaiflo February 27th, 2006, 04:19 PM but why two different plots then?
Face81 February 27th, 2006, 05:13 PM maybe plot 1 (closest to SZR) will be for the tower, the second plot will have a ground level car park, like API and the 3rd plot, bordering the road behind SZR will have the multi storey car park for the tower?
AltinD February 27th, 2006, 07:58 PM ^^ READ THE BOARD!!! :D
AltinD February 27th, 2006, 08:01 PM I'm talking about this one:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v705/altind/P1000804.jpg
dubaiflo February 27th, 2006, 08:05 PM lol.
btw i just noticed the plot numbers are 335 for the tower and 1st parking but 235 for the 2nd parking... could this be of any use...
how r the plots named at SZR?
DUBAI February 27th, 2006, 08:07 PM Have we suddenly become american. or just lot the ability to count?
m+69 = 71????????
Dubai-Lover February 27th, 2006, 08:16 PM I'm talking about this one:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v705/altind/P1000804.jpg
so this is taken from the board?
if yes, then it's a nice new design
will be a few meters short of 300 though, don't see it being above it
THE DUBAI GUYS February 27th, 2006, 08:23 PM its g+m+69=71.
and btw thanx altin for the pic...its very different from wat 1 thot to expect but then again look at the new damac bldg...i say of it is this erm 7/10. (damac 8.5/10)
R
Face81 February 27th, 2006, 08:37 PM I'm talking about this one:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v705/altind/P1000804.jpg
WOW!
Brilliant tower Altin!
See!!!!! The first car park, although behind the tower, is part of the main tower itself, the second one is likely to be behind the tower, connected by a bridge I would imagine.
Simple and sleek. 250m IMO. nice! :D
dubaiflo February 27th, 2006, 08:45 PM wow looks amazing.
i am fine with that one.
and altin : Face was NOT right, this one won't be above 300 :D
Face81 February 27th, 2006, 09:21 PM wow looks amazing.
i am fine with that one.
and altin : Face was NOT right, this one won't be above 300 :D
hey, hey! I was right about the controversy part AND i wasnt too far off the 300m mark! :D
malec February 27th, 2006, 09:21 PM I say about 270m. It doesn't have a spire so I doubt 71 floors are enough to reach 300m. I remember seeing this one before as a proposal.
THE DUBAI GUYS February 28th, 2006, 01:36 AM i hope it crosses 300m...remember maybe the developers want to cross one they find out how close it is...just put a spire on it and thats it...pls!
R
DUBAI February 28th, 2006, 02:09 AM its g+m+69=71.
and btw thanx altin for the pic...its very different from wat 1 thot to expect but then again look at the new damac bldg...i say of it is this erm 7/10. (damac 8.5/10)
R
exaxctly. we dont count G as floor 1 in the UAE.
it goes G then M then 2
so we come to 70 floors, not 71.
c'mon people, count properly!
dazz February 28th, 2006, 02:21 AM calm down guys!!!
The render was just example of propopal tower which have carpark integrated into design of the tower!
altought it might be this one ;)
Dubai-Lover February 28th, 2006, 02:52 AM lol
yes, it should be some random tower
altin, where did you pick this up
i mean, count the floors, far away from 71
Face81 February 28th, 2006, 10:47 AM ^^yeah, this one has only 61 floors in the render.
AltinD February 28th, 2006, 12:03 PM Come on guys, don't need to go balistic on this one.
WHO SAID THIS IS THE RENDER FOR THIS TOWER????
I just posted this proposal to ilustrate the idea how the integrated parking lot on the tower design might look like. I never said this is the tower design, even that it seams like a proposal for SZR.
This design is from ACG.
Once again, THIS IS NOT THE TOWER, I posted it just as an example.
AltinD February 28th, 2006, 12:06 PM exaxctly. we dont count G as floor 1 in the UAE.
it goes G then M then 2
so we come to 70 floors, not 71.
c'mon people, count properly!
Nick, it goes G + M + 1 + 2 + ... + 69 = 71 .
Face81 February 28th, 2006, 03:52 PM Altin, you implied that this was the render for the plot
DUBAI February 28th, 2006, 07:47 PM Nick, it goes G + M + 1 + 2 + ... + 69 = 71 .
yes mabe, but thats not the point.
g does not count!nits at ground leval!
SA BOY March 1st, 2006, 09:31 AM Ground counts according to Emporis and CTBUH
DUBAI March 4th, 2006, 10:53 PM Because they are american.
Dubai uses the european counting system.
what next... do emporis miss out floor 13 as well?
SA BOY March 5th, 2006, 10:35 AM all structure above G is counted even the villas are noted as G+1
If Dubai uses europeran counting, then why are developments done in SqFt and the gas done in gallons?
DUBAI March 5th, 2006, 01:43 PM Because thats what we use in the UK ...which is what a lot od dubai is based on [power ponts e.t.c...]
oh, and the UK is in europe ;) [only for the sake of this argument, after that we are leaving]
im not arguing how buildings are numbered. g+m+X
my point was the opposite if X=22. i would say the top floor is the 22nd floor. not 24. at a stretch... 23
Stephan23 March 18th, 2006, 01:30 PM Is it possible, that this is the Emirates Hotel??
Dubai-Lover March 18th, 2006, 02:33 PM no
impossible, totally different location
we need to wait for a render or board on the site and this can take a while! :(

Work is slow in this one. Dutch Foundation is concentrating more on the nearby 54F building, which has to be mention that started before this one.

dubaiflo May 28th, 2006, 11:24 PM machinery is moving. so this one should start soon as well.
AltinD May 29th, 2006, 12:50 AM ^^ It has already started Flo.
nezzybaby May 29th, 2006, 11:44 PM Because thats what we use in the UK ...which is what a lot od dubai is based on [power ponts e.t.c...]

Er i buy my petrol by the litre, and measure almost everything in metres, as is standard in this metric country part of metric Europe.
ZZ-II June 15th, 2006, 12:28 PM great project
malec June 15th, 2006, 12:46 PM ^^ We don't have a clue what it'll look like though so for all we know, it could be a tower shaped like a camel or something ;)
AltinD June 15th, 2006, 01:03 PM ^^ Do you have problems with camels as well?
Camelophobe :D
Trances June 16th, 2006, 08:56 AM yer the hairy buggers stink and spit
THE DUBAI GUYS June 16th, 2006, 09:26 AM the work is picking up on this one....lots more activity on the site yest...
R
AltinD July 20th, 2006, 06:44 PM The (empty) project board came up yesterday. Let's hope they'll stick there the tags, and above all, a FREAKING RENDER!!!! :bash:
Dubai-Lover July 22nd, 2006, 12:55 PM passed by this one yesterday as well and also noticed a brand new all white but empty sign board
looks like they will at least put some companies names on it soon and hopefully a render
dubaiflo July 22nd, 2006, 02:57 PM awesome, u r finally back in dubai..
and we can expect a rendering here soon :D
AltinD July 29th, 2006, 09:20 PM The board:

AltinD July 29th, 2006, 09:22 PM The site

Stephan23 July 29th, 2006, 09:39 PM Should we name it 'AL HASHEMI'?
Think better than 'Unnamed'
AltinD July 29th, 2006, 10:02 PM I FOUND IT, I FOUND IT, I FOUND IT !!!
http://i7.tinypic.com/21cf49u.jpg
AltinD July 29th, 2006, 10:05 PM I found it on the Architect's website:
http://i7.tinypic.com/21cf7k0.jpg
Chad July 29th, 2006, 10:08 PM Looks familiar....nice though :)
AltinD July 29th, 2006, 10:21 PM Another one from Architect's website:
http://i7.tinypic.com/21cfn2f.jpg
AltinD July 29th, 2006, 10:25 PM Now that I'm comparing those two, they seams different and even the names are mentioned slightly different: "H.H.H R Tower" and "H.H.H Tower"
Maybe the "R" stands for "Right" refering to the positioning, and the first one is actually the 54F on the next plot, while the second one is the correect tower for this plot.
TowerPower July 29th, 2006, 10:49 PM Definitely not 71 floors in the first render
AltinD July 29th, 2006, 11:00 PM ^^ Yeah, the render on Post 68 is this tower, while the first render on the posts 65 & 66 is of the 54F tower on the plot on the right.
dubaiflo July 30th, 2006, 03:35 AM ^^ yes that should be correct.
this one here is amazing.
R@ptor July 30th, 2006, 03:47 AM Looks a bit like the Bright Start Tower in the last rendering.
Stephan23 July 30th, 2006, 02:38 PM Finally we have it. :master:
malec July 30th, 2006, 04:32 PM Should we name it 'AL HASHEMI'?
Think better than 'Unnamed'
done
I hate reading "unnamed tower" for 10 different threads, gets confusing
AltinD July 30th, 2006, 06:14 PM ^^ But that is NOT the name since Al Hashemi is just the Architect of the tower. The developer is "Dubai Intl' Real Estate"
malec July 30th, 2006, 06:26 PM Whoops, didn't know that, I'll change it to H.H.H Tower so since that's what it says on the render
Dubai-Lover August 1st, 2006, 12:10 PM www.alhashemi.ae
the company has these 2 proposals for the plot next to crowne plaza
it's a flash animation on the website, so you can right click and zoom into the renders to get a more detailed resolution ;)
added to emporis without render
Michiel August 2nd, 2006, 10:18 AM ^^ from that website
http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/4503/szrtowerhi9.jpg
SA BOY August 2nd, 2006, 10:48 AM woooooha thats great and deffinatly over 300m , add it to the list YAWN another 300plus tower
SA BOY August 2nd, 2006, 10:54 AM dennis cant find it on Emporis? where did you put it and can you add the render
Cheers
AltinD August 2nd, 2006, 12:31 PM ^^ from that website
http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/4503/szrtowerhi9.jpg
Damn you IT specialists, I checked for a second time the site and couldn't find anymore even the tiny sized picture that I first posted in here. :D
dubaiflo August 2nd, 2006, 01:36 PM  thanks god we have people with more skills than you altin ;)
but it looks rather amazing imo, sleek and slim.
Stephan23 August 2nd, 2006, 02:33 PM dennis cant find it on Emporis? where did you put it and can you add the render
Cheers
It's added as 'unnamed tower'
THE DUBAI GUYS August 2nd, 2006, 02:42 PM that looks really good

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v705/altind/P1000804.jpg
Who ever said that's the render? Certanly not me. ;)
AltinD August 2nd, 2006, 09:22 PM BTW, if you go to the webaite (www.alhashemi.com) and click on: projects - graphics - next.. there's a night render of this tower from a different angle. I can zoom in and the picture quality is good, but the frame doesn't enlarge and i can't get the entire picture to be displayed on screen, I have to scroll up and down to see it.
Can anyone try, maybe it is a problem with my PC setting.
BTW it say H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Tower in there.
AltinD August 2nd, 2006, 09:28 PM I tried something else:
http://i2.tinypic.com/23h0tnl.jpg
Dubai-Lover August 2nd, 2006, 09:35 PM yup, this is the same tower
excited to see if this is the final design
Michiel August 2nd, 2006, 09:39 PM @Altind
I've copied the picture in three parts. I don't think you can enlarge the frame on a flash website.
AltinD August 2nd, 2006, 09:56 PM ^^ I thought about that too, but wasn't coenfident about the result so I didn't try. However copying the picture and resizing it, produced a similar result.
BTW I stretched 120% vertically the night render from the website; the original version looked too fat and short.
Krazy August 2nd, 2006, 11:11 PM BTW, if you go to the webaite (www.alhashemi.com) and click on: projects - graphics - next.. there's a night render of this tower from a different angle. Interesting and frustrating at the same time, since I prefer the other design. However there is still hope, since they have the older renderings also for Festival City and Sentinal Towers.
Trances August 9th, 2006, 03:18 AM good to see there is at least an idea of a render
AltinD August 11th, 2006, 03:12 PM The render is finally on the board, and it is that other design that looks like 2 cylindric towers joined together
malec August 11th, 2006, 03:14 PM You mean this one? I actually prefer the single tower one
http://i7.tinypic.com/21cf49u.jpg
Stephan23 August 11th, 2006, 04:20 PM And this one should be 72 storeys high?? :hm:
ZZ-II August 11th, 2006, 04:25 PM not really, looks a lot to small
dubaiflo August 12th, 2006, 03:23 PM not too bad.. but the location so close to liberty.. these two will be monsters of SZR.
SA BOY August 13th, 2006, 09:49 AM render up on the project siogn board and its huuuuuuuge , deffinatly over 300m
SA BOY August 13th, 2006, 09:50 AM You mean this one? I actually prefer the single tower one
http://i7.tinypic.com/21cf49u.jpg
the render looks simmilar to this one but taller and not so "deep"
AltinD August 13th, 2006, 02:25 PM Yeah the render was put in there on Thursday. I hope they have removed the scafolding so we can take a picture of the board.
AltinD August 13th, 2006, 11:30 PM http://i8.tinypic.com/24l3ey1.jpg
malec August 14th, 2006, 01:10 AM Holy crap, if this one's over 300m then it'll surely make a massive mark on the skyline, this tower is HUGE
Krazy August 14th, 2006, 01:43 AM i love the design... so it's not the two that we thought afterall.. this will be a great addition to szr... szr seems to get the best of both great and horrible designs!
SA BOY August 14th, 2006, 09:09 AM has someone tried to get the height from the architects?
Dubai-Lover August 14th, 2006, 09:35 AM this one looks really different from what has been built in dubai so far
i like it, but it's not a stunner either
THE DUBAI GUYS August 14th, 2006, 10:20 AM this one looks really different from what has been built in dubai so far

exactumundo...its very different but not awe inspiring...but it is a huge building....from the looks of things it could give the fairmont and liberty tower a run for thier money... :runaway:

Stephan23 August 14th, 2006, 11:36 AM Great design :okay: With spire defenetly over 300.

I completely agree....
It has a striking resemblence to the Grosvenor House, West Marina Beach.... The only diff is that this is blue. It looks very Canadian for some reason.... :weirdo:

Stephan23 August 14th, 2006, 04:06 PM Than it must be the other one!
Dubai-Lover August 14th, 2006, 04:16 PM passed by this one today and yes the scaffold has been removed already
hopefully i'll make another trip tomorrow or the day after tomorrow
dubaiflo August 14th, 2006, 04:53 PM ugly. fat. hate it.
stephan it is this one, the pic was taken from the signboard.
Krazy August 14th, 2006, 05:07 PM I think it's great! We definitely don't need any more of the crappy pencil designs of marina :nocrook:

there is no underground floor?
AltinD December 26th, 2006, 11:19 PM ^^ There's only one. Actually none of the towers in that aerea has underground floors. For parkings they have a separate structure located behind them and usually connected to the tower with a sky bridge.
This is becouse when they started building in this aerea, the space was abondand (used to be a desert patch) and going underground would have been expensive due to excessive underground water.
CULWULLA December 29th, 2006, 11:50 AM ive added this to dubais 300m+ diagrams. Im trying to workout height.
looks like 72storeys x 4m=290m.the spire measures at 55m above roof, thus 345m? thats what im going with. let me know when official height is known.

rexdmx June 28th, 2007, 09:07 AM Al Ahmadiah in deal to build Dh750m tower in Dubai
By Robert Ditcham, Staff Reporter
Published: June 27, 2007, 23:33
Dubai: UAE-based Al Ahmadiah Contracting and Trading, which counts Ibn Battuta Mall and Al Marooj Complex among its construction contracts, has teamed up with a Hong Kong-based contractor to build a Dh750 million tower in Dubai.
The 70-storey HHHR Tower, a commercial and residential complex, will be built on Shaikh Zayed Road next to Crown Plaza Hotel.
Project developer Dubai International Real Estate, which represents Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, on Tuesday formally awarded the contract to a joint venture between Al Ahmadiah and Hong Kong-based Hip Hing Overseas.
The joint venture company, Al Ahmadiah Hip Hing JV, is currently bidding for contracts on major UAE contracts such as Dubai Waterfront, a Nakheel development linked to Palm Jebel Ali.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its first project, HHHR Tower, will include 454 luxury apartments and four storeys of office space. Construction, which began in February, is scheduled for completion in May 2009.
The project will be executed under the consultancy of Al Hashemi Planners, Architects and Engineers.
Representatives from Al Ahmadiah said the joint venture was formed to allow it to benefit from Hip Hing's engineering expertise and its pool of Chinese skilled and unskilled labour.
Al Ahmadiah is currently working on a portfolio of contracts worth more than Dh2 billion, including construction on Dubai Mall, part of Emaar's Downtown Burj Dubai development.
