Hey!

I'm going to an event in Las Vegas on April 1st. I'm gonna stay there until the 7th and I'll head to San Francisco with my dad. After that he's coming back to Brazil and I asked him to stay there.

I've got some friends who are in Colorado and might go to Las Vegas, rent a car and get to Los Angeles in the 12th. Meanwhile I wanna stay some days in San Diego (about 3 nights) before I go to Los Angeles with them. I've been looking for some hotels, prices are good, but I just don't know what's the best area to stay in the city.

Could anyone help me?

- Any good hotels in San Diego for a good price (60-70 dls)?

- What to do in San Diego?

Same questions for Los Angeles too.

Cities in the US are so spread out, distances are huge so I just don't know where's the best place to stay heheh.

Well Im not an expert with the hotels, but if you can find a good deal downtown then take it. If not try Mission Valley, or as its called "Hotel Circle". I think theirs a good price at $69, at the Days Inn at Hotel Circle. Thats the lowest I could find.

As for things to do, first you have downtown which includes-the gaslamp quarter, Horton Plaza, Maritime Museum, Little Italy, the San Diego Bay, and just the overall urban setting. Then theirs Balboa Park which is the largest urban park in the US (yes it is bigger then central park). It has tens of museums, the World Famous San Diego Zoo and the atmosphere is perfect. Sea World is in Mission Bay, as well as Belmont Park. Mission Bay is a large water recreation area so any water activities could be done there.

To get around you can use the bus and trolley system, theirs also the Coaster which is a commuter train and that will take you to the beaches and towns in the North County. I'll post some pictures of stuff from SD later, hope you find more info.

As for LA, I have no clue.
