But you can expect anything and everything in Kalpakkam.
As you know that its not only meant for Nuclear reactor.

Kalpakkam is indeed one of the most cleaner townships you
could ever dream off. And I am one of those lucky kids to be
born and brought up there.... :banana:

Thanks wlbkng, yeah, I took a 114 Volvo from Ashok Pillar to Vandalur Zoo (was crowded, so didn't take any pics). Met CP at the start of Vandalur-Kelambakkam road.
Will try to go again, if time permits, maybe in the afternoon - will kalapify older relatives for a visit to Veeranjaneyar temple - they are already putting a lot of trips to Thiruvallur, Thirumazhizai, Thiruninravur etc etc. Yaaruko veet'la kalyanam nadakka pogudhu, I think (enakku illai ! )

They have started imposing a Rs. 10 fee on photography now. Also, apparently tripods are not allowed - the guy distributing the tickets got nearly hysterical when I took my tripod out. He said I could place the camera on the parapet and click. I told him there's no difference, and also assured him I was not shooting videos (my camera doesn't have a video mode). He still did not relent. It was pretty irritating since the winds were quite strong then.

Yeah Tirusulam is the best vantage point for the airport. Especially at night - Airport + GST Flyover + Suburban line on one side, Tambaram and southern suburbs on the other.
I had taken a few friends with me to Mount. They were pretty disappointed that Tirusulam was off limits - I have been there with another friend once, and I had been generating hype for that hill since then ;)

If you are refering to the last photo above, It is because of Airport Landing umbrella area.
These lights should not be visible from the sky (they may mislead the pilots to land on the road).
They are hooded at the top.
The shades in the other photos are imitations of birds in flight.

I think it is because of pollution in air.. light coming from distant sources looks like shaking. Easily observed when any light source is looked through the smoke coming out of fire.
