Some ghastly colour schemes. I've only ever seen London buses, that are quite smart, and have the more classic red colour scheme.

I think the Travel West Midlands buses are generally older than most buses. First are the principal operator in many major cities, and operate more modern buses (even though there are older buses too)

First :puke:
its a loathsome livery which looks bad on buses and trains alike
im glad london's have kept the traditional red look.
a new operator near me has also kept a more traditional look although it looks a bit odd on modern buses

This is the colour scheme of the Arriva buses that operate around here. It's not too bad but the buses themselves are quite old and very few get replaced with newer models.

The old West Midlands Travel Bus colour scheme was the best, navy blue top and bottom with a large grey band and a smaller red band, I've seen them travel to quite a few countries in the world from africa to asia :)

Whenever I visit London or Brum, my niece keeps calling the bendi-buses funny buses

Few more of Nottingham's buses. Quite cheap fares aswell compared to most places. The newer buses have screen upstairs and downstairs showing you the CCTV images. Something to watch when your bored on a bus journey.

The 36 is the flagship route linking Leeds to Harrogate, and onto Ripon operated by Harrogate & District. The buses cost £2.2m to introduce, and feature leather airline style seating and information screens.

all the two-floor buses are from London??
I never thought that this kind of buses are so common there!
Even in any city...

That would be so usefull here :ohno:...

Quite a lot of double-decker buses run in UK cities, not just London.

Double Decker buses are very common in the UK.
They can also have some great avertising on the side. One bus in Leeds that I saw had a giant car advertised on the side of the bus and it used the buses's wheel's in the design.

Being a wrestling fan, I'd been trying to photograph this for weeks but had never whipped out my camera in time.

Finally I managed to capture a pic but almost got run over by a cyclist while chasing it up the road! :ohno:

The amount of double deckers used for tourism purposes is tiny in comparison to the number used for general transport purposes. There must be over five or six thousands in London alone and more than as many again around the rest of the country.

In my city Brighton, with a population of about 250,000, nearly all our buses are double decker, and I think we have about 200-250. Check out http://www.buses.co.uk/frameset.html?history/fleethist/current.htm
every bus above fleet number 400 is double decker I believe, click on the blue link on each line to see a picture of every single bus in the fleet!!!

Articulated (Bendi) buses are my favorite. The British/European ones look way better than the American/Canadian ones. Are there any high floor buses in London or the UK still? Do buses have bike racks on the front to hold bicycles?

High floor? Do you mean double deckers? If so then yes, thousands and thousands of them, and more being built all the time.

I really like British buses, mainly for seating plan the seats themselves which are quite comfy :)

I have quite a few bus phots from Edinburgh, mostly of Lothian's buses.

Not the best pics, due to ongoing problems with my camera.

Can't remember much about this one, only that it's a Scania chassis with Wrightbus bodywork.

Two First single deckers, I think these are Scanias, so the bodies will be Wright Solars.
The double decker is a Lothian one, a 3XX, can't remember which one, and is a Volvo B9TL with Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodywork.

A line up of Lothian Volvo B9TLs with Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodies, some already with the base for the branding for the 22.

No. 50, Lothian's only artic, which is now in Nottingham IIRC. It's a Scania Omnilink artic, and it only worked the X48 in the peaks.
The bus behind is a Volvo Olympian with Alexander Royale bodywork, one of the last ones in service, and painted in that rather bright red for the 15.

The 13 is now operated by Edinburgh Coach Lines, here's one of their Plaxton Centros, a bit blurry though.
