Any indication of where that is? Or are you talking about the pyramid shaped thing for moscow?

I reckon it's the Moscow pyramid tower which can be seen on the Foster website. Only looks like a vision as well. :( :(

If its a vision im pleased, moscows skyline is too good in my opinion, i think london should hold the european title for skylines.

Its this one in Moscow- I think Norman has been looking at Renzos plans a bit too intently!!

The 650m SOM deisgn was kicking around for the last decade, there isn't a chance in hell of this design being built either.

But i'm sure Sir Norman doesn't care, he get paids millions either way.

Actually it looks like hes being borrowing Renzos & Rogers 122LH plans ;)

says on fosters webiste it will have 118 floors & will be 600m with the highest occupied being 500m. It says it will be multi use for 25,000 people.i Know they dont do things by halfs in Russia at the mo but this seems to look like a vision ala London Millenium tower

it looks nowhere near as good as The Shard

the shard is better......this one is a little more stumpy......... hmmmm not sure if im liking moscows evolving skyline

Yes their skyscrapers all are looking a bit dated and clumsy....this one looks like a homage to the stalin communist years..where's the star?

they all seem to be the same colour..i dont know if its to do with moscows climate, but they just dont appeal to me

Will it not be in fact the tallest building in the world at this time?

@Medo
But Shard is another weight category. Russia Tower is twice taller of Shard.

For ultratall - it is definitely will be one of most beautiful. I say only SWFC will be better.

Plus it has nothing to do with Shard except of form conception. It is also looks like Diamond of Istanbul and North Korean hotel and like many other buildings.

It has own design.

@london lad
will see. on mipim chigirinsky said it will be finished in 2010-2011. then works should begin this year or maximum next year. cost is $1,5bln. it is about $200mln cheaper of Shard. few months ago sberbank (largest bank of russia) announced that they interesting in this project. however, from 3 versions (600, 750 and 1000) luzhkov approved lowest one. now it will be approved by city-planning committee in april.
will see.

There's every chance it will be built. This and all the other developments surrounding have been on the drawing board for some time but now many of them are well advanced or under construction. This will be the jewel, or pinnacle in the crown...and no doubt will be under construction before LBT.

@ Coth, cheaper than the Shard? Thats not really suprising is it now.

I quite like the design, like the webbed bracing details and the pinnacle, although i would have preferred it if it looked more tapered like LBTs, LBT is far more elegent in my view.

@potto
different countries - different prices. i heard freedom tower in new york will cost $12bln... complex federation cost $500mln, new city hall and city duma - just $300mln.

i still think it is not correct to compare it with shard. shard is "just" supertall :) with tallest floor on 224m level. rt is ultratall.

I think it looks better than the shard

I REALLY like it, but I don't quite think it looks as gracefull as the Shard. I do think this could be a top ten world skyscraper though, it looks very impressive:)

actually the tallest floor is 244m, and then there is the radiator floors, but I'm not sure how far they go...

It's actually quite a nice design, although I do prefer the Shard for the same reason as Potto.
