View Full Version : My first venture into sports photography; Amsterdam Admirals vs. Berlin Thunder

So last week I went to go see the Amsterdam Admirals take on the Berlin Thunder (American Football, NFL Europe League) in Amsterdam at the ArenA. It was my first time there, and also my first time shooting sports photography, but I had a lot of fun with my friends and I must say I'm pretty content with this bein my first time. I would've liked a bit more reach, but I don't know if I can justify the expense when I only use that reach every so often. Well, enough chatter, here is my initial batch of 5 photo's. More will come later, but I was shooting in RAW (which, as I found out, works wonderful for sports photography!) so editing takes a bit longer.

Most pics were shot at iso 1600, 1/640s and wide open at f4. Mostly on the long end of 200mm, although some may be wider. For full exif go to www.pbase.com/th0m and then click admirals vs thunder.
