Actually the CRV guy wanted to stay and started writing all the details of the people involved but I managed to get everyone to the side before negotiations resumed. ;) Whenever I am involved in an accident (directly or indirectly), I would assess the situation first and if the cars could all move, we go to the roadside instead of blocking everyonw on the road :yes:

Heck yeah, every day everyone jog there........this "taman"as they say in malay has 100,000 residents and it is as big as perlis(iirc n quater covered with lake) just for residency(mostly exxon mobil worker :bash: ) took me drive morehalf an hour from the end of this place to the other end(which ehre my mom fren live :bash:

Nice pics! I would love trying those worms one day..of course when they are fried can't imagine eating them when they're boiled or steamed :puke:. Is travelling alone around Southern China safe for a non-chinese speaker?

^^ U can move abt by urself from city to city safely, its ok if u can speak some mandarin, if not then better get a guide or join a tour to get around quickly once u hv reached a city. Alot of the tourist areas have English signage & guidebooks but there r only very few English speakers so exploring far from ur hotel by urself might not b a good idea. It is safe in Yunan where I visited but not so sure abt provinces around HongKong. Also b prepared for large crowds of local tourists at the popular sites they outnumber the foreign tourists. There is lots to c in China from historical to modern and landscapes to citystreet ambiance, very interesting

According to what I saw in the SG forum it was quite a meet, d Y2k! :cool:

There is quite a photographic record of that visit. Imagine, sze & baq in Singapore at the same time! :) Sze had quite a lineup of people shots, but for some reason forumers didn't want their photos published so he had to withdraw them one by one. :(

baq's excellent building photos, on the other hand, can still be seen in the baq's visits to SG thread. sze's are equally wonderful of course. :okay:

Was the CRV badly damaged as well? I mean being a SUV like your car and all..........

^^ Oh....hehehe......well it is also an SUV but since it had a reardoor-mounted tyre, the impact was cushioned. Thus it doesn't suffer as much as the front car is a Kancil :yes:

All four cars could be driven safely to the police station ;)

Yea....the accident hurts my wallet because I had to pay the fine (I am the De Facto culprit in the accident as I was the last in line) as well as to have certain things replaced although most are covered by insurance ;)

nice photos, any more. the times i visited seoul was either early spring or autumn so my impression was weather cold, lots of tall new buildings(very China city-like) and crowds of people - a very business type city

Thanks, will try to post a few more. Yeah, I was there last autumn as well and it was cold. But summer is really quite the extreme opposite; hot and humid, sometimes a bit trying even for us Malaysians!

hehehe.. my pics on page 8 were taken in Oman..

The first one when I was in MUSCAT (the capital of Oman) with 2 Omani friends.. they are sooo funny... and they are supa rich tooo... you know what, they drive kereta BMW yang ada bumbung kaca u know.. not to mention their house... ( both of them living together and I stayed in their home ) .... their perabot ar.. very classic and antique punye... made in Oman.. and they put Essential oil in every room u kno...

The second picture ar.. taken in Salalah , the 2nd biggest ct in Oman.. about 1200 km southeast of Muscat.. That was the 1st time I saw the unta-unta... they are sooo cutie like me....

This is my most favourite country which is Oman. Its still very unknown to many Malaysians but it is a paradise and it has A LOOOOTTT to offer. I strongly reccommend all Malaysian forumers ( Malays, Chinese, Indians, everyone ! ) to make Oman as their next trip !

Muscat is the most beautiful city I`ve ever been and I was very impressed with its unique Omani architecture, wide streets, gorgeous mountains, beautiful forts, and that very colourful Muttrah Palace ( I will post them shortly in Travel & Geography forum ).

Omani people are super super friendly, the presence of a foreigner is like a celebration for them.

great point! No really, I agree a bit judgemental on my part, but also agree on your point "thank goodness there are some differences"! Sometimes what I find is the style down in Singapore can be some what garish to my liking. The ultra metro look or the ah-beng styled coloured hair, whats up with all that? I guess this is just my opinionated bias.
