The objective was to create a design that reflects the Dutch tradition of transparency and openess.

This is what I hate about modern, "democratic" buildings. They always use a lot of glass to symbolize the openness of democracies, ie they're dull. This one gets a 6 because it's at least not as boring as the embassy in Berlin.

first pic looks messy, rest just looks like a building and doesn't speak out to me really

I think this building moves too much from trying to symbolize transparency and openess towards messyness, especially since its basic elements are not too original - though I think its okay 6.5/10

Not high, but interesting. Something else than other embassies. Modern, sober, but with dignity.

But:

This sentence is not original at all. Has been used for every newly-built Dutch embassy, I reckon.
