Ever since its seperation from Malayan-Singapore Airways, Singapore Airlines has kept its same old ageing liverly. Almost all airlines (some even younger then SIA), have changed its liverly multiple times, (eg United, aloha, Cathy Pacific, Thai)

dont you think its about time SIA looses that out-dated design? i was looking round MAP, n found some gd liveries for SIA:

Actually, I find SIA's livery and logo ages well with time. Other airlines change their designs because they don't.

The livery of SIA is prominent, recognisable, definitive, modern and classy. I like it. I dont want it to be changed haha...

The first livery looks like its from THAI. The second looks like a Gulf/Qatar Air livery. The last one looks likes some US airline like North West. IMO. Thats my first impression.

I agreed with you!!! My exact sentiments!

I prefer this current livery of SIA. I think they do not want to change this iconic livery that serves them well over years.

the logo itself is good, but how they use it on the planes is a rather dull affair. Just land at changi and you'll see a bunch of SQ planes, all rather dull.

The bottom pic, 747-8 is nice!

I've noted some Asian airlines changing their liveries...trying to create some impact, the way SIA's logo has - strong contrast of yellow and dark blue.

I think the livery was changed once before though.

I suppose they could experiment with certain special liveries for special occasions.

I like the livery on the A380, with the extra-large alphabets :)

acutually, i think the extra BIG letters, only made the BIG plane look much smaller

I like the x'mas one very much! the snow on the logo really adds a nice touch.

anyway, I think that it needs a change, just not like those above, something that suits it's status as an elitie carrier.

I really like that second mock rendering.
I do think the SIA livery is fine though. The best airlines have the longest serving liveries - Qantas ans SIA both share that honour :)
