Accommodation Bangkok's offer is much expensive and more rich of style and standard. Bangkok got many things special more than you expected.

Also, you might think the prices at the top end hotels in Bangkok are expensive, but if you compare the value of what you get in Bangkok compared to price and what you get in other cities, Bangkok has some super values

I disagree as far as the Far East is concerned. Your more likely to find unconventional and a variety of designs in Bangkok than other major Asian cities like Tokyo (city of boxes) and Hong Kong (conventional glassy skyscrapers). What other city would you see a design like Maha Nakhon? Shanghai would welcome a unconventional design like that but that's about it.

the second pic must be taken from either the hotel or the residence pool..btw are the first and the last pic taken from the RBSC, if so i wonder why they didnt bother hide those air con compressors somewhere. It looks rather un-"pretigous" for privilleged members. Well that s just my view anyway.

The Residences at The St. Regis Bangkok recently appointed Gerald Hanna as the new Director of Residences at the luxury condominium on Rajadamri Road.

It always amazing just to think about the upper floors residents at 185 Ratchadamri will eventually have a similar view.

That ceiling height look seriously low.... and that rug just does not go with that interior...why is it that people find soft furnishing difficult....less is more it needs to feel part of the room nt take the rooms attention !!!! simple

That ceiling height look seriously low.... and that rug just does not go with that interior...why is it that people find soft furnishing difficult....less is more it needs to feel part of the room nt take the rooms attention !!!! simple

I had a private tour of both furnished and unfurnished units while I stayed at the hotel and I didn't like them at all.

1. Only 30 years lease hold. The agent couldn't even tell me what's going to happen after the 30 years is up! And yes, I'm expected to live more than 30 years longer!
2. Shared lobby and elevators with the hotel.
3. No pets allowed - due to #2
4. Very cold feel, not homy. Hotel staff is arrogant in the wrong way. And I'm a SPG Platinum member (Ambassador level)!
5. Low ceiling height.
6. Cookie-cutter floor plans.
7. Too close proximity to building behind.
8. Although the sports club view is nice, it leaves a cold, dark void at night.
9. BTS access is very nice, however both structures (the station and building) are too close to each other.
10. Didn't like the residence pool and the gym is just too small.

There's a good reason why 25% are left unsold, and that's quite a lot given that the building has been finished over a year now. Time is ticking, less than 30 years left on the lease....

What is the ceiling height?

I can't quote you the exact measurements (because I can't remember what the agent said). But it sure felt like it was low when I visited a few units.

And I can understand why. I am merely stating the fact that the No-pets rule is a deal breaker just for me.

It might not block views for you, but it did for me. It was too close for my liking.

I'm not going to argue with this. You are absolutely right, but it still doesn't change the fact that at night, there's a big, dark void in front. I personally just don't like it.

Again, just my humble opinion. You and others might find it ok. I just felt it was too close.

I'd rather have bigger facilities being shared by a bit more residences - why?... Keep in mind that not all residences will use the facility at once.
