Any pics of reading rooms and stuff like that? How are the 4 buildings connected to each other.

The Bibliothèque Nationale is one of the biggest missed opportunities in recent architecture. It is clear that a huge amount of money was spent on this. The interior furnishings are very de luxe. But it is an unispiring, hulking, soulless cluster of buildings that are hard to get into (walk up the wooden stairs to the wind-swept plaza only to descend down escalators-cum-moving-sidewalks to get into the library...did anyone think about how hard all this would be for elderly professors and researchers?) and generally hard to use.

5.5

These buildings looks like a four open books . That is impressive but no so pretty work, although i love the J. Nouvel architecture.

I liked the interior but those open-books-buildings didn't told me much. 4.5
