I am a little dissapointed with the design, but the landscape / open space approach seems good

Its about what I expected for the site. Nothing huge. The design doesn't seem too bad, is there two buildings in the 1st stage?

Certainly is! I drive past quite frequently but it's not the easiest to get a good photo of.

This is actually a Honeycombes Project. They've been building up Mid-Rise building in Townsville. They're doing one up here at the moment.

I think Honeycombes is doing some stuff at Indooroopilly as well. And speaking of things UC their website has been for months now.

I'm not sure if they use the same architects for all their projects but I know nothing about architecture and I can tell if something is Honeycombes just by looking at it. It's quite distinctive and I actually don't like it that much. In Townsville they've got Urban Quarter almost finished and Mint just starting.

I think you're talking about IKON. That finished about January this year.

State 2 will not be going ahead - they sold the land.

Cramwood has/will launch a new DA for their project Trilogy; however there is no mention of how large this will be. The original State 2 had three buildings - 9, 6 and 5 levels, and maybe this new project will be of similar height. The project will be completely residential but have connections to the commercial aspects of Oxygen. They plan to release plans "to the market in 3 to 4 weeks".

I will be disappointed if it is smaller, and the buildings may not be complementary, or as complementary as stage 2 would have been, to the original Oxygen (thought they mention it will be...) I've seen some of their work under construction at Fairfield, and though it isn't utterly unacceptable, I hope they get a better architect.

Is Oxygen finished?

the front buildings are... they're still going on the back ones... its in a big square.

So Oxygen is now finished. The website says there are 191 apartments - anyone know how big stage 2 was going to be. It's replacement, Trilogy is 121 apartments - it hasn't begun construction yet has it?

The buildings are rising in the rear.... starting to be prominant as viewed from the RBH 9th floor :p

I think most of the buildings in the complex are complete now? theres still a little bit of construction at the back, but i dont know how high they're supposed to be...
