Right guys, it's not new news but this has been granted planning permission in 2004 and i think finally they are dismantling the old Mercedes garage so does this mean construction will start soon??

I'm not too sure whats happening with this one. They've been slowly dismantling the merc garage for ages now, I noticed they recently fenced off the area. I was initially very sceptical about this because of the collapse of eclipse just across the road. Having said that, i reckon that since the eclipse farse, the climate in Sheffield has improved greatly and developers now see Sheff as the up and coming place. It will be a nice bonus if this one gets built, it will look class driving down the ring road or down ecclesall road.

yes, i think due to the amount of larger projects emerging around the city, this one has less criticism than before. the garage is being demolished, that means that theres going to be an empty site. something has to go there. and as this is the only proposal weve seen, im expecting it to be built.
