Shayan hotel was not a casino, it was the Shah's personel mansion along with Kish which was his own getaway vacation island. Kish was not a tourist spot then, just the Shah's vacation island.

Here is a map of it's location. It is located in the Persian Gulf, south of Iran, and about 100 miles north of Dubai.

Shugs is right....Kish was planned to be what is Dubai today....even more....gambling in Dubai is forbidden which was not ment for Kish.

if it wasnt for revolution dubai would have never got to where its is now!
