This weekend in Bristol they had a major firework display to celebrate the 200 anniversary of Brunel's birth - a man who probably single-handily changed the face of the city more than anyone else.

The display was based on the Clifton Suspension Bridge, one of the greatest bridges in the country, that he designed (although never saw completed - it was finished 6 years after he died).

Here's some photo's of the fireworks from the BBC Bristol site http://www.bbc.co.uk/bristol

I would like to know one thing. In our english essays at school we arenīt allowed to mix american and british english so i decided to use the british way of writing. Now when i have joined this forum iīve noticed brits spelling words like amasing with z, shouldnīt it be written with a s?

Thanks

The word is spelt amazing, even in British English. Amasing is wrong :nono:
