The sea, the ships, and the night vision are beutiful, the buildings aren't too hight thought but remarkable nonetheless. 6

6.5, The building skyline really lacks, but the rest of the view is amazing, Rainier, Cascades, Olympics. The city overall is doing a huge rehabe. But yes, I am being alittle kind with a 6.5.

Eh.....for being so close to Seattle this city deserves a better skyline......but since Tacoma is so stubborn I'm gonna give it 3.5 out of 10......:rant:

Tacoma may not have much in the way of skyline... but it does have the natural setting... and it has STADIUM HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!

When I first moved to Seattle a couple of years ago I thought Tacoma was dead, smelly and unattractive. With all the redevelopment going on downtown its really changing into a neat little place. 3.5 for the skyline though.

they need a new tallest building and some in-fill.......i can see san diegos tallest fitting in tacoma perfectly. thats what building they should put in. What are the height limits fr tacoma? can they build any taller then that tallest box? BTW great picture!:)

Tacoma has to be my least favorite city in the western US (from what I've seen) It's skyline is boring and repetitive. AND, NO MATTER WHAT THE CENSUS SAYS, SPOKANE, WASHINGTON IS STILL BIGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (There is a battle in wa state for 2nd largest city, i am going for Spokane) PS. I really don't hate Tacoma all that much.

Nothing too tall, but still nice. I give it a 6.5/10.

I just visited Tacoma last week. It's the first time I've ever seen it, and I had no idea what I'd find. Anyway, I thought that for a town of its size, it had a really great downtown - wonderful old architecture, beautiful museums and a respectable skyline. I was quite impressed! I'd give its skyline a 6.5, but overall, it's downtown is closer to an 8.

Ya have to be in Tacoma to see what a nice city it is. It is NOT a suburb of Seattle!! The pics don't do it justice. I give it a 7 and I think if yall could see it yourself, you would be charmed:)

I love Tacoma, but even I acknowledge its shortcomings as far as its skyline. Still, it has pockets of great architecture and a certain hardscrabble charm.

They are actaully having a lot of condoes being a built around it now, so it's skyline will grow over time, also it has a downtown tram system.

There's something about secondary/satellite/suburban cities in that they tend to be boxy, even tending toward square. The bridge in first pic ups it a full point to it a 4.5.
