Yeah, the feel I got from Edmundston wasn't really a good one. It felt...unfriendly. Some redeeming buildings, but not very attractive overall with the pulp and paper mills downtown.

No I dont hate Halifax at all just idiotic statements that come out of there.
why is life so much better in Halifax is it the fear that sewage will backup into your basements because the city engineer says his department is in crisis mode for repairs. Is it the looming tax increases to come if there is a commonwealth games? is it the water rates going up to help pay for the 600 million dolllars needed to repair the sewer system. Sure glad that new glasgow has a sewer system that is fully functional and needs upgrade for increasing development.

Don t knock any place that the people love to live there and actually take the time to post pictures. I have been to edmontson a long time ago and the people work hard, pay their taxes and enjoy life very much. Very Nice people without their hands out everytime they decide to have overs pay for grand pyramid schemes that dot the landscape in the HRM.

With me I realize what halifax is. I lived there from 5 to 20 years of age. Lived in rural nova scotia and travelled all the western hemisphere.Halifax and the ENTIRE REGION are great among the best places on earth. Some of us have to get our hands dirty to buy goods in your chain lake industrial park which GAVE a peice of land to the Chinesse government under the Brand COSTCO. While a sobeys or loblaws canadian and nova scotia companies have to actually pay taxes and compete agianst a leach that uses slave labour in china . Shows the admiration you people have with socialist states that mowed down students in tiehmin square is pretty clear with that granting of land, services and a tax holiday for 20 years.

No, just get tried of hearing your bull shit. You don't listen to anyone else but yourself and annoy everyone. You come up with these ridiculous points of view and expect eveyone to agree with you. You ignore the facts so you can keep going on and on about the same things.

Jonestowncultinpicto

and what facts has anyone p[resented saying the commonwealth games are a great investment. you see you get poed becuase you know I have the goods and you can't find anything that is not a government spin report commissioned by politicians trying to cover their butts post Commonwealth Games .

Oh by the way my read on halifax is generally shared on the wikapedia online enclylopedia. I entered hlaifax today and said Boy this is exactly my view of the city. Basically a government centre until you scroll down and see a very small bit about IMP and pratt and whiney starting to develope a small aerospace industry in the HRM region .

The thing there is nothing to be ashamed of in that at all. Just have to realize your place in the world is fairly small and will not be advanced by a non event like the commonwealth games.Such a non event that the fastest growing economy in the commonwealth did both to show the commonwealth games on TV. that speaks volumes to dreams of world wide exposure via a relic of a dark colonal past of the UK. 40 percent of the population of nova scotia 15 percent of the population of the atlantic region no federal funding of the commonwealth games Priceless.

Oi, thanks for the comments about Edmundston, and thanks for ending the sidetrack. I wasn't really a fan of Edmundston, but fan or not, I'm the kind of person who likes to show people cities they probably have never heard of. And each of the cities in this tour I'd never been to except Edmundston in the little mall beside the highway to grab something to eat on the way through, so it was also to expose myself to these places. Anyway, more obscure small cities to come later (and maybe even some Halifax and Dartmouth if we're lucky), so keep your eyes open.
