i doubt that, since this one is much more complicated and wider also. it consists of two sections.

however one floor / week , as usually, should be possible.

there are 28 now Com/UC/app, so u could add up HK, Chicago and Shanghai ;)

actually every tower that is approved is certain to build, of course , actually is the word to be emphasized.

Ahh, silly me. I must have been tricked by that word in block capitals on the thread title saying 'APPROVED' ;). And there are numerous towers in Dubai that are approved, or even underconstruction before they are launched.

Besides, it's not really the point. The point is that approved does not mean certain to be built, even in Dubai, likely to be built yes but not certain.

Here's the thing though, in dubai they do have less obstacles than most cities but not none. The nimby problem is non-existant, also tall towers seem to be encouraged wheras in other places they're often discouraged. Developers still have to find financing for their towers though and projects can still get axed because of this

looks like there NOT counting the first 4 levels.? its definately 34 levels above grd to core, but indicates 30 in numbering.
renato- stop asking how damn big the tower is!!

^^ First four floors are not offices, rather special floors, propably for diamonds storing vaults.

BTW I just noticed that the service floor above the 27th is tagged S2. I'm curious how will be tagged the regular floors above it (presuming it will be only one such floor), starting from 28 or from 29.

Imre I suggest a compromise: Post half pictures in higher and half pictures in lower resolution!! I think that will satisfy most of the forumers. Personaly I prefer high resolution pictures because they dont take much time to download with my 10 Mbps connection :)

How about resizing them to 50% - a compromise between the small ones and the originals?

right side of the building has blue glass , left side green , amazing.. this will be one of the best tower in Dubai and one of the most important place (diamond and platinum exchange) as well.

untill this guy gets to about 200m , its lost in the sea of 150m towers at JLT. I can just see it now from my villa at the lakes
i concur.also remember the first 4 floors are NOT counted in floor numbering.(looks like there just counting OFFICE LEVELS) also the 2 lev plant havent numbers either,(they should be lev28/29)
. so theres 6 floors NOt counted in total. so current floor plates are up to 33 but really 39 and 3 more in core= 36 or 42 above grd. so ive scaled diagram and CURRENT HEIGHT OF CORE= 183M or 600ft.

Richard, there are actually 2 sets of mechanical floors with 2 un-numbered floors each, so 4 mechanicals + 4 on the bottom, it makes 8 in total which brings the total to 44 levels on top of the core. :cheers:

lol, its approx 40 levels/180m high. so 20 more levels and another 180m. so about 50% construction complete.

I love the exposed columns element they extruded outside the upper levels facade..:)
