in some renderings it reminds me much more of ONE LIBERTY PLACE in Philly....
and the golden facade remind me of New Century Plaza West (http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=2018) in Shenzhen.

why's everyone so negative? I think this building is amazing! It may look a lil like a copy.. but its still an amzing building.

not enough gold skyscrapers are built... these buildings look amazing.

How bizarre! A cross between Big Ben and the Chrysler building. I always find gold skyscrapers rather gaudy, but then end up liking most of them. There's nothing subtle about these. I like that. I'm intrigued by this city. I'd make a point of going to Chongqing if in China.

Chongqing is VERY impressive, definitely the biggest interiour (non-coastal/non-east) city in China. No doubt!

I don't like the golden color at all, but it has a great design :okay:

This is a true landmark, even more than the u/c twintowers next to it. The color is horrible though, but good for China.

^^ That the chinese love the golden color. When I was in China I noticed that most chinese people love those kitch styles. A bit over the top. A bit 'fake'. I came across some entrances of office buildings that almost look out of Disney world (sometimes pillars where wrapped in golden foil). I think those golden buildings fits perfectly there. If it was build in Europe of the USA (with one exception: Las Vegas) everybody would hate it.

Nice update! Although it seemed to have slowed down at the end. A great place to stay if you're gonna visit Chongqing.

Nice looking towers. For some reason the design reminds me of these two buildings in Bethesda, Maryland. Except for the spires, of course.
