Just watching Champions League recorded highlights , AC Milan vs Barca - wearing their hideous fluorescent yellow away strip. Why do Barca have no sponsor's name emblazoned across their fronts? It looks really odd.

They have the small Nike swoosh on one side of their chests, and the Barca crest on the other but no big logo. Are Nike their major sponsors?! Surely even Barca aren't big enough not to need a major sponsor, and if it is Nike, how is it they don't use their shirt-fronts to advertise?

Are there any other clubs out there that don't have a big logo plastered on the front of their shirts?

The Barcalona shirt is considered so important to the area they've always had a no sponsors policey.

It's more of a tradition thing that they don't have a sponsor, the Barcelona fans are a passionate lot and don't seem to be too keen on it. Nike are just their kit suppliers, as of yet they don't have a sponsorship deal. But Barcelona are reportedly considering having Hitachi as their sponsors within the next few years.

The only other team I can think of without a sponsor is Athletic Bilbao, they also only have players born and bred in Bilbao.

And please, do not speak ill of the fluorescent shirt, I have one :)

Atletic Bilbao only employ players who have been born in the Basque country, so it's not just Bilbao.
