Houston's flora is very similar to Jacksonville's and most of the northern Florida coast, except we have more oaks out here whereas they have more varieties of pine. One species of pine I wish we had more of here in SE Texas is Australian pines.

Houston is one hell of a city it's great place to live not to mention you have to love the southern hospitality there I love it.
