Constructional Training Institute
Introduction
Public Authority for Applied Education and Training provides and develops the skilled and professional national work force to meet the development requirement in the country in different fields, and to cover the Constructional field, the Public Authority has set up the Constructional Training Institute for the purpose to maintain the Kuwaiti Identity of Architecture and to correct the imbalance in the construction of the skilled and vocational labors in building industry, by preparing and qualifying trained national working force at the latest technologies of building and construction.
Constructional Training Institute
The institute was started in the year 2000 in cooperation with the
German Institute for Technical Cooperation (GTZ). For the purpose
of preparing the trainees and qualify them technically to meet the
requirements of the country from technicians and to contribute in the
development of the human force in the sector of construction
The institute is equipped with the up-to-date equipment and training
machinery. It is viewed as one of the most modernize technical
institutes in the Middle East regarding to its programs, curricula and
the modern instruction methodologies
An elite from qualified Kuwaiti instructors in addition to the skilled German consultants from different specialization is charged for the training.

The Public Authority for Applied Education & Training (PAAET) has plans to expand two of its campuses – the main campus situated in Shuwaikh and a new campus in the district of South Sabahiya. New facilities continue to be developed and constructed on the Shuwaikh campus, integrated with a new campus-wide infrastructure system including two interconnected central plants. The existing campus, approximately 2 km long and 1 km wide, presently contains six operating colleges, with an additional three scheduled to commence operations in 2005. The Construction Training Institute in South Sabahiya is scheduled for completion in early 2006. Turner Projacs are acting as construction manager for this expansion programme.
