Due to popular demand from our Qatari and Kuwaiti forumers, we have decided to create a Qatari Food thread. You can write about almost anything that relates to food and restaurants. You can paste some of your favorite recipies and we might even sample your food ;)

Let's get this thing going again... What are your favorite local and non-local dishes?

My favorite local dish: 5aroof weeya 3esh a9far with iwdam and plenty of leban afterwards

give me double chicken burger with upsize diet coke any time, and i'll be happy as a clamp!!
oh yeah, not to foget some nice hot & cold lebanese mezzah, with a nice peice strawberry cheesecake afterwards.

agool, did you eat from the Pizza place in the Holiday Inn?? Popi's pizza. They have the best pizza I have every tasted. My favorite is the tandoori pizza.

Just to bring this thread to life again, what are you eating these days?? For me its, take aways machboos from the m39irah near the college and working 24/7. You guys? any decend meals?

i hate the way they make rice here in lebanon..its so blah! but i heard that in gulf they make rice so good..with chicken broth, saffron, and other spices...maybe some of you can get a recipe from your mom and share it...

^^ Dude I get calls from my friends almost everyday saying that they are going to eat Harees in Souq Wagif. At least u have Agwar Road where u can find a very good shawarma and don't forget fakhr eldeen. I agree that it's nothing comparing to Harees and Machboos, but I guess that arabs are used to London.
I myself am used to the food in here. I had a lot of problems in the beginning, but now I am ok I guess.
