Shops on ground floor - the large machine u c infront in dark is the escalator that is going to be fixed soon - I made design proposal for the railing next to this these escalators, they got approved by the senior architect, but the client never showed an interest in spending some buck to make the interior better.! It was too dark here so i couldnt show the place where the escalators were to be fixed.

NewYork-wala April 30th, 2006, 05:33 AM Techno... How are the interiors of most Pak Higbhrises these days?
I say a few in Islamabad and wasnt very impressed.. Loked like a rush job, as though it stil needed completion.
Techno-Architect April 30th, 2006, 06:55 PM about the interiors.....the interiors in most of the multi-storey buildings are dull, aesthetically unplaesing and not impressive for the fact that the like you have heard that 70% of the area of the plaza gets sold out and so on...the investor pays little attention toward making the interior beautiful and push the constrcution to finish as soon as possible.....the result is that in a rush job the result is not very pleasing and you have flaws in construction and interior work......
Giving you an example....i designed a steel stairs for Aashiana Centre, Lahore. The proposal went to the client and they made lame excuses of its feasibility, although there was nothing as such, and now they are making RCC stairs for the shoppin malls. To them aesthetics is not important, they will push their own design into our design as a result of which there is no innovation in the interiors. Inorder to change our buildings and society we need to change our thinking and that is not happening over here!!!

:ohno: I need to crackdown on such studpid threads...and please stop bumping old threads for no reason.
brightside. July 8th, 2008, 04:16 AM These threads should be labelled as "complete" if they have been completed. If a thread is there we might as well follow up on the status of the building.

brightside. July 8th, 2008, 03:33 PM This site isn't for merely tracking the progress of skyscrapers, but of all kinds of developments. So what seems to be the problem?
