i think it is till an underpaid amount.i inherited a 750 sq.mtr plot of land (similar in size to this one) in india from my grandfather,and i got it evaluated and found out the current market price is US $4.1 million.so this being in the CBD should have been more.

Official height is 439m. There are rumors saying it will be 446m and even 485m, but it can not be confirmed.

i think there are other reasons why SWFC plot is kind of empty. If i remember correctly, one side of the site actually has subway running underground, and another side is for future subway expansion.

Wow, it looks like they really cleaned up the area. I do love the density in the old areas but it makes me wonder what happened to all the people living there. I hope they'll fill the area back in with more density. Also I live that parklike area on the top picture with the lake. What is that? Is that a new addition or has it been there for a long time? That lake looks beautiful.

I think all of them got compensations from the government for the move. If you go back to previous pages, you will see the talk about a family getting million of dollars from the government for leaving his property.

That park is Lychee Park, it has been there for around 20 years (almost as old as the city).

I also think that this is a very very nice Tower. :okay:

Oh my, it's so difficult to keep the overall view with all these amazing Skyscrapers.

Shenzhen desperately needs this tower to complement its skyline. But it seems Shenzhen's current construction speed is much lower than its sister city Guangzhou. (skyscrapers, subwaysm airport etc)

thanks for the update. It's a bit slow but this building is almost perfect in every designing aspect. I like the building like this one, simple and elegant, much better than Shun hing and Saige tower in Shenzhen.

No! I really like those Japanese style residentials, ultra dense and too few of them in China :ohno:.

In this R.C. structure scheme, the core has a similar arrangement to the steel scheme and the wind shear is taken out from the core at the lowest basement level and transferred to the perimeter diaphragm walls. In order to reduce large shear reversals in the core walls in the basement, and at the top of the tower base level, the ground floor, basement levels 1 and 2 and the 5th and 6th floors, the floor slabs and beams are separated horizontally from the core walls.

The land will be more expensive as a landmark project is finished, and the residents in there have more bargining power, they are more sure that their old, dense and unsafe structures will eventually be demolished to make room for new development.

The core is more likely to be where the red cranes are rather than the green cloth-covered small tower behind.
The difficulty with this site is that it's so large we haven't been able to precisely place the tower's footprint.

great to see the progress. It was a big hole when I was there last year. I'm glad to have another visit next year!

What is incredible is that they are building the entire complex in one big phase. If this were Europe, it would be phased - usually with the tower being last to start construction! :|
