dirty. I am concern for the health of all the children

only have two main facility to keep, gym and swimming

has been executed according to your instruction.
Together we can improve the living condition of Seri

yes... they are leaving one light on during day time for my floor in N block. I guess the lighting system is not smart enough to detect when it is a cloudy/rainy day and when the sun is bright :)

macrolynx is not compulsory. yeah, you can opy for streamyx indeed. but when I apply for one, they mention that that the area is not available yet for streamyx. that was back in january. till now still no news. n macrolynx never seem to call me either when I apply for the broadband in february :(

You have the option to choose either one streamyx or macrolynx. Streamyx is via your telephoneline whilst macrolynx service is via the data port.

I do not know how good macrolynx is as i am using streamyx and so far so good.

hi ivan, i stay at N. 2 wks ago both lifts were down for 15-20mins, and it was b4 7pm where the lights is 'timed' to switch on. All residents in N were forced to walk the staircase in the dark. basically, macrolynx is a small and nimble company which is good for its users vs. the slow giant Streamyx. But this has a downside... it also means less resources and muscle to quickly resolve issues.

as for Jaring... they are the same like streamyx, also use Telekom line as access

So far my streamyx has been quite reliable but in term of speed, I do not know how macrolynx compare but definitely better than Jaring la!!!! I used to subscribe to Jaring but now don't think I will ever go back except if I know another service better than streamyx for the same price.

I suggest instead of letting them to call you back, you give them 2-3 time slots that they can come and install. They just need to sms you to confirm which slot.

nothing to do with when you apply for your fixed line

if they have not introduce the service for one set of numbers, then no streamyx or if they have used up all the bandwidth for one set of numbers, then no streamyx also

this is coz streamyx runs thru existing phone lines vs. Macrolynx... LAN line which they have built in the points in each SM unit



Yes .......Woofy is right about the service using existing lines and wether it is a new line or an old line it doesn't matter as long as the nearest TM exchange support ADSL and if it had enough ports for your area.

Woofmy > Zahirnya's problem is not due to the unavailability for a particular set of number but due to the unavailability of ADSL ports in the area. That means that even if his neighbour got Streamyx and if there is not enuf ports, he wouldn't be able to have the service at all until they resolved the port issue :yes:

This is the same for Jaring's Fixed line Broadband. However you guys could try out their Wireless Broadband service which IMO is quite good. My aunt had been using it since the beginning (I think 2 years already) and she had no issues with it ;)

I am not too sure if Macrolynx's main connections from SM is piggybacking on TM's fixed line network but if it is, then there could be problem should the interconnect fails. I wouldn't wanna elaborate on the technical details here but I've handled cases of such failures for a major telco in Malaysia and I must say that they are at the mercy of TM should such prob occurs. ;)

well Streamyx have its fairshare of disconnectivity also. In the end it bogs down to your area's connection and luck. So now the only option you have is their service. I am not too sure of Macrolynx connection quality as I haven't used em before :yes:

It seems like it was for the same old reason for all the line down and they still can't get it fixed. Speaking abt service, huh! There's this guy who's in the Help Desk, he will asked u "sir, have u change ur computer setting?", "Sir, is ur PC attacked by virus", "sir, ur cat5 cable is loose?", bla bla bla. not sure woh...perhaps whose in Lanai block facing the pool can tell us. Wa...if Havana & Savana doesn't have their own pool, then this small little one will be overflowing loh. As is now already so packed during evening, can't even swim across the pool (especially those kids jumping into the pool, so worry will get 'hit' like a submarine) :hammer:

I guess sometimes you have to put yourself in the shoes of those people in cust serv. Even if you called into Streamyx they would usually troubleshoot with you on your computer unless they knew in advanced there is a problem with their lines. So it is not that they do not admit, they dun even know in the first place. If they knew they wouldn't even wanna go on a lengthy troubleshooting with you :yes:


I am in tech support for a major telco before and I handle corporate accounts and high networth users. That's why I know. When we know there is a fiber-cut, we would definitely tell our affected customers. But usually we do not know and it is up to the customers to tell us. We have to get enough quota to raise a case to the technical team so we still need to troubleshoot with at least 5 customers. If not there could be an isolated case and an isolated case are usually customer's computer/network-related. Seriously there is no point in hiding a network problem when it is so tedious to do troubleshooting with customers.

So what I am trying to say is that they probably do not know and usually (thru my experience), most problems usually lies with the customer's settings and PC problems. Only after the customer serv had confirmed with the customer that there are absolutely no problem with the cust's side, then only they could despatch a case to the technical team to evaluate and to solve. If not then the cust serv would kena 'tiau' by the tech team as well :D

Strange - apparently Macrolynx said the equipment doesn't 'belong' to them, they only provide broadband connection. The 'developer' owns it. At times their access is limited woh.... :gossip:

Ketua Polis Daerah Ampang, Asisten Komisioner Azri Ahmad, berkata: “Siasatan awal mendapati mangsa yang berasal dari Jawa, Indonesia, mati akibat cedera parah di beberapa bahagian tubuh.

“Polis menemui kesan tikaman di tengkuk, perut dan bahunya menggunakan objek tajam. Bagaimanapun, setakat ini, senjata digunakan untuk membunuh mangsa tidak ditemui di tempat kejadian.”

Menurut Azri, pekerja lain yang ditemui di tempat kejadian mendakwa tidak mengetahui pembunuhan terbabit tetapi mengenali mangsa.

Beliau berkata, mangsa berkemungkinan mati dibunuh selepas berlaku pertengkaran dengan individu tertentu di sana tetapi setakat ini, ia dalam siasatan.

Hmm... maybe can ask them to tarik as well huh? I hear that break in / vandalism / and theft is frequent on those cars parked along jalan jelatek ...

by the way...anyone want to rent their parking bay tak? developer has got some lots for rent, but actually it's not too convenient coz u need to walk far if ur block is away from those empty lots. Renting from resident lot also same problem.

as I have said, we need to get to the root of the problem... insufficient parking space in the complex. Without solving that problem, they will always have the same excuse to be repeat offenders. Further, it is not fair to them as what can they do??? sell off the car??? park in KLCC???

I think a more correct representation in BM/English would be 'Pat' ....actually it sounded more like 'part' (in English) but we wouldn't get the correct tone because Cantonese got far more than double the tones English or BM has ;)

Well......resident parking problem are evidently visible only during the evening. What about during the day when contractors are being denied the visitor's parking when there are so many around? :?
