As most of you guys know , I am the editor for SA for Emporis/Skyscrapers.com and have spend the past 5 years adding buildings, taking many pics and generally making a Nuisance of myself with councils and architects trying to get heights, correct addresses, number of floors, year of completion etc.
Could I ask for some help with this task and ask if anyone sees buildings missing, missing pictures they can provide ( will be credited) or missing info then just add it here.
In that regard can I request some help with the following
Durbsboi, you mentioned you are down grey street way quite a bit and its the last part of durban I haveent been to to add buildings. I know there are pleanty over 12 floors between Pine street and greyville race course ( basically both sides of Old fort way). Could you take pics and just tell me a floor count and address and Ill add it.

Durbsboi, there are so many buildings around there like the hospital next to Geryville and all the highrise appartment blocks around grey that we could add probably another 15 buildings to durbs total

yes was looking at them on my way to town yesterday, most of them are 10 storey's but they are a few the breach teh 10 storey mark. will get u more info.

Joburg needs lots of help!! they have hardly any of your buildings listed.

JHB should be ranked 1st in Africa but instead is languishing in 4th place after DBN, CT and Cairo (last I checked), largely because no one has documented the buildings there. Go get them hsark!

Hsark, I would love some help. Ill give you guys an idea of what emporis was like when I started, Durbs had 21 buildings, JHB 22 and CT 30. today we are up to Durban 233 Cape town 162 and Joeys 133. And this is all due to you guys, rodney who really helped me out on JHB and Wiann who did so much for CT and my regular trips to Durbs.
I can still see so many buildings that are not added in all the cities but this is an ongoing project and my biggest pain is getting heights but confirmations of floors and address which is easy. the hardest issues are architect and year complete which helsp is you have a contact or know where to go at the councils. Durban was easy as they city planning dept was really helpfull but I think I wore out my welcome there.
So all in all anyhelp with new buildings we missed,heights, floors, year, address and architect as well as pics not only of existing buildings we have pics of cos we will change to show the building in the best pic but any missing images we dont have

Then the other building I took note of was also on Grey Str,
Its in the center of Grey, it has a clothing shop at the bottom next to the KFC, near the Victoria Str corner,

Floors: 12
ground & 1st floor is retail,
The rest is offices's
With a penthouse at the top.
Height: no idea
