View Full Version : Perfect Day in Milwaukee
dael318 May 24th, 2006, 02:12 AM Took a few pictures while out on a bike ride to Downtown. I probably could have taken more, but I was spending a lot of my time trying to navigate all the construction downtown. Nothing special, just your average milwaukee pictures, so enjoy.

mohammed wong May 24th, 2006, 05:56 AM where is that coffee shop on highland?
i presume its in the fifties near the west edge of milwaukee,
and what is its name?
looks nice
dael318 May 24th, 2006, 07:26 AM It's actually called Highland Park Pies and Cafe. Its just south of vilet and washington park where Highland bends after passing Harley and Miller Brewing (I took that picture from the same place I took the Miller Park and 2nd Harley picture). I think it would be around where 41st street should be. I've actually never been there, but have always thought it would be nice place to have lunch. I found this review on, which makes the place sound nice.

exit_320 May 24th, 2006, 07:46 AM Great pics! Interesting shots not normally seen of Milwaukee
i_am_hydrogen May 24th, 2006, 08:34 AM Nice shots. For some reason, the first one reminds me of my childhood days on 44th and Chambers.

I have been to the Cafe several times and love it. Good food and great atmosphere. The service is very friendly as well. I recommend it.

Boatnurd June 11th, 2006, 02:30 PM Never mind.... Just got the Blue screen of death after my message. I can see them now.
Azn_chi_boi June 11th, 2006, 02:50 PM Milwaukee is awesome...
ReddAlert June 11th, 2006, 04:12 PM cool pics. Its a slight shame that Washington Park is how it is. Its such a beautiful and grand park--its surrounding neighorhoods quite beautiful.
It would be nice to see the park have the same prominence as it once didi.
