Wezza May 30th, 2006, 12:24 PM The A346 is certainly a very long aircraft. It's definitely the longest pax a/c in the world, but i doubt it's the longest a/c overall. I like the 773 better anyway!! :) london-b May 30th, 2006, 05:10 PM I'm going on an A343 in July, I hear it has a poor climb rate though. MCarr May 30th, 2006, 05:24 PM I'm going on an A343 in July, I hear it has a poor clime rate though. yes, but on the other hand its quite economic and confortable Grygry May 30th, 2006, 09:50 PM I'm going on an A343 in July, I hear it has a poor clime rate though. especially if you have an engine failure at take off like in my case.... (turned out to be a pilot's mistake, hehe) Wezza May 31st, 2006, 12:59 AM I'm going on an A343 in July, I hear it has a poor clime rate though. I think it's partly to do with the fact that they are underpowered. That problem was addressed in the A345 & A346. FM 2258 May 31st, 2006, 01:27 AM The A340-600 is one of the most splendid looking aircraft ever built. Frog May 31st, 2006, 01:28 AM I think its the best looking Airbus plane  Sir_Machete May 31st, 2006, 01:33 AM Great bird, is the best of the 340 family xDieselJockx May 31st, 2006, 02:19 AM I like the A340-500 better I've never really seen an A340-500 ny livery on these? So, it has 4 jet engines also, is it Rolls Royce engine just like the A340-600. How many seating capacity does it have? Anybody can answer this please. I've noticed that A343 has smaller engine comparing to A346 and A345 london-b May 31st, 2006, 02:29 AM ^^ A340-500 - Flightcrew of two. Typical three class seating for 316 passengers. Monkey May 31st, 2006, 03:55 PM The AN225 is hideous. To be absolutely and anal-retentively correct the title should have read "longest airliner" rather than "longest plane" - but who cares? london-b June 1st, 2006, 01:16 AM Keep us updated of you HK adventures, :) I'll be taking many pictures :) samba_man June 1st, 2006, 03:29 AM Awesome images guys :eek2: Wezza June 1st, 2006, 06:34 AM The AN225 is hideous. To be absolutely and anal-retentively correct the title should have read "longest airliner" rather than "longest plane" - but who cares? I dunno, i thought the AN-225 was not too bad looking?? Sure the tail is a bit wierd, but thats only so when the Buran shuttle was being transported on top of it, the rudder was still effective. It would look better with the tail like the AN-124, but hey, what can you do? lol It's certainly an impressive a/c whatever way you look at it. eomer June 1st, 2006, 07:32 AM The A340-600 is one of the most splendid looking aircraft ever built. I don't really agree. I think it's a bit too long and not wide enough: it looks like kate moss. cladiv June 1st, 2006, 09:26 AM ^^hahah that's the first time I read of a comparison between a plane and Kate Moss lol! Wezza June 1st, 2006, 03:44 PM ^^ Nah it doesn't look like Kate Moss, there's not anough whit powder around the nose area!! STR June 1st, 2006, 06:45 PM ^^^^ Thanks London_b. So, it has 4 jet engines also, is it Rolls Royce engine just like the A340-600. How many seating capacity does it have? Anybody can answer this please. I've noticed that A343 has smaller engine comparing to A346 and A345 The A342 and A343 have GE/SNECMA CFM-56-5C engines, almost the same engine used on most 737's and A320's. The CFM-56 is efficent, quiet and powerful for its size, but it's a small engine and there's only so much thrust you can makes from a small diameter engine. Monkey June 1st, 2006, 09:06 PM Kate Moss is gorgeous. I like slim girls (and slim planes like the A340-600). Kate's also not that tall for a model. She's only 1m 70cm (5'7").
