After the dysmal showings in France and Korea do you think Saudi Arabia will be able to make it out of its group this year? I think they have a pretty good chance and hoping for another '94esque world cup.

View Full Version : World Cup: Where will Saudi Arabia finish nitzomoe May 29th, 2006, 05:17 PM After the dysmal showings in France and Korea do you think Saudi Arabia will be able to make it out of its group this year? I think they have a pretty good chance and hoping for another '94esque world cup. K.S.A lover May 29th, 2006, 05:46 PM hell...................there's no way saudi arabia is goin to win even a single match.....I'm sorry saudi people but u olso kno tht saudi arabia is not good in soccer......they shud try ta work harder to be in the list........... Kuwait4Ever May 29th, 2006, 05:54 PM I think that Saudi Arabia has a chance of winning with both Tunisia and Ukraine but Spain will be hard Kuwait4Ever May 29th, 2006, 05:56 PM The favourites to go out of the group are Spain and Ukraine but with some luck Saudi may just get out instead of Ukraine Riyadhi May 29th, 2006, 08:39 PM I feel that we will lose all of the three games. But I'm hoping that we don't lose with more than 5 goals against us. And it would be nice if we can score one goal in one of the three games :D safqa_tijariya May 30th, 2006, 01:59 AM man It feels like shit hahahahaha, I think nitzomoe killed this one by giving 4 choices and 3 among them mean the same thing (lose-lose situation)... can you at least say they will win 3 or 4 rounds ... I wish saudi makes it at least at the semi finals... Emirati_Girl May 30th, 2006, 02:46 AM i feel like They wont move on from the group mustafa May 30th, 2006, 03:22 AM i think they will move to the 16th nitzomoe May 30th, 2006, 05:29 AM man It feels like shit hahahahaha, I think nitzomoe killed this one by giving 4 choices and 3 among them mean the same thing (lose-lose situation)... can you at least say they will win 3 or 4 rounds ... I wish saudi makes it at least at the semi finals... just basing it on their last 3 attempts. 1994 was pretty good, but otherwise its just been hopeless. I heard that Saudi players who go professional outside fo saudi arabia are banned from playing for th national team, maybe this is the reason why they arent good, no expereince with international players as teammates. *UofT* May 30th, 2006, 05:46 AM Going all the way baby :) huit May 30th, 2006, 11:33 AM They should at least win against Tunisia! safqa_tijariya May 30th, 2006, 04:07 PM They should at least win against Tunisia! I think tunisia is stronger... :P Qatar4Ever June 3rd, 2006, 06:10 AM Lets just hope they dont pull a 2002 act. cmoonflyer June 3rd, 2006, 11:07 AM Good luck to the team - believe them ! nitzomoe June 3rd, 2006, 10:37 PM Lets just hope they dont pull a 2002 act. cross your fingers :wallbash: Skyline-BRN June 3rd, 2006, 10:53 PM Lets just hope they dont pull a 2002 act. and lets hope they pull a 94 act!! :dj: doha June 5th, 2006, 08:04 PM good luck inshallah huit June 5th, 2006, 08:45 PM They lost to Turkey 1-0 in warmups, now I'm not even sure if they'd win even against Tunisia! Riyadhi June 5th, 2006, 08:57 PM they wont, i can gurntee that lol Saudi guy June 5th, 2006, 11:50 PM hmmm iam not like most pepole ,in fact i detest foteball because it make Violence and hate encourage .......... anyway saudi can't win i think becouse that oldman (sami al jaber)i remeber him when i was in school ....i dont know if there another player like him....second resson they chenging trainer in short time finly idont know ANYTHING about these game but that my opinion Shayan_m June 6th, 2006, 01:52 AM Saudi will win the WC :) 8-0 against Brazil in the final match :D ;) No seriously, I think that Saudi has a chance of beating Ukraine and Tunisia. Spain will be a much harder task, but everything is possible. Anyways , good luck Saudi ! Ur the best after Iran :D SeanB 06 June 6th, 2006, 04:56 AM Saudi Arabias a good team, they beat Korea home and away but I cant see them beating Tunisia, Tunisia has a very strong team this year. And Ukrain and Spain i wont even go there. Good Luck tho nitzomoe June 7th, 2006, 08:07 PM wow 82% say they wont make it past the group. maybe they'll be the cinderalla team this year. ZK June 8th, 2006, 04:42 AM Well they r the under dogs for sure. But thats good. A bit of surprise would pepper the taste of the world cup. i have a strange feeling saying that they will get through the group matches and perhaps....................... BEST OF LUCK: YA MUNTAKHABNA! drmadham June 8th, 2006, 05:36 AM saudi....errrr. well have to wait to see. surprise me saudi! nitzomoe June 8th, 2006, 06:46 AM Game schedule: June 14: Tunisia vs Saudi Arabia 18:00 12 pm eastern June 19: Saudi Arabia vs Ukraine 18:00 12 pm eastern June 23: Saudi Arabia vs Spain 16:00 10 pm eastern my guesses: S. Arabia wins 2-1 Ukraine wins 4-1 Spain wins 6-0 ZK June 8th, 2006, 09:21 AM Game schedule: June 14: Tunisia vs Saudi Arabia 18:00 12 pm eastern June 19: Saudi Arabia vs Ukraine 18:00 12 pm eastern June 23: Saudi Arabia vs Spain 16:00 10 pm eastern my guesses: S. Arabia wins 2-1 Ukraine wins 4-1 Spain wins 6-0 AHHHH! That is not at all a good picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DarkBlueBoss June 8th, 2006, 11:02 AM Game schedule: June 14: Tunisia vs Saudi Arabia 18:00 12 pm eastern June 19: Saudi Arabia vs Ukraine 18:00 12 pm eastern June 23: Saudi Arabia vs Spain 16:00 10 pm eastern my guesses: S. Arabia wins 2-1 Ukraine wins 4-1 Spain wins 6-0 thats actually the most reasonable guess, however, i doubt they will score 1 goal against Ukraine... it will just be 4-0 anyway in football anything is possible... we should all remember Senegal - France ( 1-0 in 2002) who would have ever thought ? Riyadhi June 8th, 2006, 11:57 AM I think nitzomoe is too optismistic. I don't think they'll score a single gaol ! Shayan_m June 11th, 2006, 01:55 AM Hey guys, the day before yeserday I watched Ukraine play live. They could barely beat Luxembourg by 3 goals to 0, their performance wasn't so good. I think they're a bit overrated. nitzomoe June 11th, 2006, 02:14 AM ^true but then again, Saudi Arabia had a tough job beating Togo during friendlys. BTW good luck for Irans game tmr, maybe they'll surprise mexico! nitzomoe June 24th, 2006, 12:17 AM Well I found it an entertaining World Cup, at least Spain spared us the humiliation by its first string. Saudi has a lot of potential but needs more international experience and a bit of time. Only suggestion I have is to start aggressively trying to get Saudi's best players into professional clubs, its definitely paid of for African teams as well as Korea. Anbar would be perfect for champions league, hes pretty good. most likely Saudi will make it to 2016 in South Africa since asia preliminaries isnt that hard. Better luck next time! Riyadhi June 24th, 2006, 01:24 AM I'm pretty satisfied with their performance in Tunisia and Spain games. The results were not cheerful at all but we saw much better football than 2002 with the exception of Ukraine’s game of course. Today the referee made wrong decisions against Saudi like an obvious penalty for Nawaf at the second half. I can only say thanks for our boys. No matter how bad you do, we will always be with you :) |
