I thought I would put up the websites and small description of smaller infill projects dotting the landscape of Los Angeles outside of Downtown. If you have any to contribute please do, I love keeping up with infill projects bulking up the cityscape!!

Silverlake:

This is an elusive project with 3 stories of residents over retail. The only rendering I have is on a website thats against the project. It would replace the coffee table thats currently on the site and other buildings east of the coffee table. Have no idea whats it's current status is. It's on Rowena btw.

NIMBY's! The apartment is only 3 friggin stories! This project completely fits the scale Rowena. Yes, it's the little things that eventually add up.

I love the "This project must be scaled downt, the future of Rowena Depends on it" quote.

I always wondered why Rowena has all those shops insead of Hyperion going south towards sunset Blvd. I would have thought that would have made a much nicer boutique resturaunt district.

Dont want to foget this project btw.

Near Beverly Center:

Beverly Connection. Lots of retail with a 2 sevens story buildigns, one for luxury condos along 3rd street, the other for senior living on Beverly.

Lots of developments. BTW I'll be going over to visit the South Central Farm that is under attack by a developer to witness a moment in history. If anyone else is interested in joining me let me know. I think I will go today or tomorrow. It's right off of the Washington stop of the Blue Line.

I ended up going to the South Central Farm this afternoon and it was defitnantley an experience that one has to see for one's self. Danny Glover had just been there. And they had a candle vigil as well as many attorneys there that were giving free workshops on knowing your rights. Sadly I did not take a/my/someone else's camera. I will snap pix on my return visit, promise.

I am with you on that one, also looking at some of the virtual tours, I noticed that they make the views from the windows look as though they are many stories up in a high rise. I visited the site and it seems that even from a 6th story that the views would not look out over LA unubstructed as they are projecting. But I could be wrong.

Miracle Mile:

Gallery Lofts
This is a mysterious project to me. Maybe some one could add some enlightenment. I went to an opening at LACMA on Tues and Wed and saw a billboard advertising this project http://lennarwilshire.com/ over it's site at 6006 Wilshire Blvd. Not sure if its a re-use project of the existing buildings at the site, or a ground up new construction
