Not really. I just wanted you guys to check out this thread (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=357350).

- There are 110 pics.
- All the pics are mine.
- I took them on 06/01/06.
- It took me more than 8 hours to take all those pics.
- It took me almost 3 hours to make that thread.

I tried to make the most complete thread about DTLA in SSC's history.

So yeah, you guys owe me comments and a Starbucks! :tongue3:

I know. I did that on purpose. However, I don't want to sound like a bitch but I've been here (SSC) for almost fours years (Oct 2002) and I've never seen a single thread that shows all those areas/districts of DTLA.

And remeber, just because it says "most complete thread ever", it doesn't mean that it shows you DTLA completely. ;) Can you dig it??? ;)

LOL.

Everytime I go to DTLA and I see other guys with cameras (which is always), I get this feeling that it might be someone from here, lol.

I still remember that last January, I went to DTLA to take some pics and this other guy, who was also taking pictures, followed for like... I don't know, half a block, just to see what I was taking pictures of. LOL.

I have all these weird experiences from downtown. I should write a book about them. :tongue3:

No fucking way. Lime green, ewww. That's not fashion. :tongue3: LOL.

In fact, I was wearing all the opposite! LOL. I was wearing a long sleeve black shirt. 0_o It's funny because I walked so much, I even got a tan (I look red right now. But ugly red, like a shrip)... but that's not what's funny. What's funny is that since I was wearing a long sleeve shirt, my arms look super white and my hands look all ... redish.

Ok, guys. This is gay. You guys need to start taking pics. The forum is dying.

I was thinking about going to DTLA to take some pics... but UCLA keeps me very very busy and if I'm not busy, I just want to sleep or hang out with my friends.

So yeah... Take pics!

Once again i fell a victim to the tittle of the thread. It was on bold letters, so I thought it was a new thread; turns out someone had just posted another reply here. :( !!!!!

Great pics! thanks....can't wait to see the rest! For new projects.....here's a teaser: From Curbed LA

Invisible Condo Building Proposed in Venice
http://la.curbed.com/2006_10_venicecondotower-thumb.jpg
A new (luxury?) condo development is being proposed for Venice. The proposed project would rise 31 stories above Lincoln Boulevard in the Oxford Triangle area. While some may fear that it would be inharmonious with the neighborhood, the developer has it all figured out:

If approved as proposed 366-foot tall, 158-condo unit project will rise on the triangular lot at 4363 Lincoln Blvd. where the Beverly Hills car rental agency is now. A 6-story parking garage will form the base of the structure, with 3,178 square feet of retail at street level broken into two- or three stores, and a lobby for residents.

A tall, thin triangular tower will then soar above the southern apex of the 1.09 acre plot. The entire structure is projected to be sheathed in "highly transparent glass, not the mirrored type like it was a 70s or 80s building," according to Dale Goldsmith, an attorney representing the developer. Vehicle access will be off of Lincoln Boulevard, only.

"We decided to go tall and thin rather than short and fat," Goldsmith told the gathering. "This way, the building will blend with the sky and be less bulky."

Thank God it will not look like it is from the ‘80s because people will otherwise have no idea that the tower is there. We do give points for the sky camouflage. Why didn’t we think of that? People will never complain if they can’t SEE the building. Since it's just in the EIR stage, there probably won't be much to report since an invisible building can't have too many impacts.
