I did some research and I'm sad to report that the Beirut Park Hotel project was actually designed back in 1998 and never materialized.

This is the same plot of land where the Hilton hotel and Berytus Parks offices are coming up. On the exact spot where the Park Hotel was supposed to be built, they are supposed to build a residential building.

What a shame...

Berytus Parks is coming up where that apartment building would have come up.

That corner where this beautiful hotel was supposed to be built will now see the construction of a residential building instead.

The whole plan was changed.

I don't know what will that land be in the future, but Solidere calls it "Nemr Diab" which is under permitting / study status.

These pics that I have taken on 07-May-2006 show that there is some activity going over there.

The building hasn't been named yet, but the plot of land was sold to a guy named Nemr Diab (as naregkar already mentioned) who will build a residential building.

It's under construction right now. It's now called Société Sémiramis and will be an office building. It looks like it will be a very nice building, I'm looking forward to it.

No, that's a different building. I don't think a rendering for the residential building that will be coming up instead of the Beirut Park Hotel has been released yet.

guys i contact the architect per email...this what he said in his email to me.....Thank you for your interest. The Park Hotel in Beirut was never brought to constructions stage. I think the site is still vacant but I know of no plans to go ahead.

the main contractor of this project was Nemr Diab a lebanese businessman...i will try to contact him..i thing i know him ..he is one of the big investores for the MIDDLE EAST AIRLINES.....i want to ask him about the hotel...wait

I was there on Sunday, didn't see anything on the ground.

I saw a lot of workers that cleaned the place..i asked someone where the landmark project would be..he said right here..in his hand was a map..he told me that they started with the project in mid june..first phase to clean and protect other buildings in this area from dust...thats what he told me....
