What's not mentioned in that article is that BAA is also about to get investigated by OFT because of the near monopoly they have over landings in London (something like 80-90% of them are to BAA airports).

So, if they announcing they're looking at selling Gatwick anyway, it might keep OFT happy.

Tommorow BAA will be bought by the Spannish, I just hope a condition is a break up of the monopoly, both in London and in Scotland.
