This building is home to Continental Airlines. It also houses the business offices of the University of Houston. The building's angular design gives it a different appearance from almost every angle. At night the building's crown is lit up in a dark, rich blue, highlighting the Continental Airlines logo. Some objected to this and called for the removal of the logo from the top of the tower, however rather than risk losing the corporate headquarters of the airline by having them leave Houston, the logo was allowed to stay.

Imagine the same building in black with large navy windows (black does make you look slimmer! ;) )

6.5/10 - OK, it's not a box, and from some angles it actually has a slim, soaring look...

But the endless rows of identical windows are monotonous, and the facade doesn't seem to dance with the light well at all. The roof doesn't seem to fit the rest of the building, and the entrance is just so-so - I appreciate the attempt to make it impressive, but it seems like the architects didn't put much thought into it - it looks hasty & unfinished.

Those walls of grey and windows are too monotonous and austere. 6/10.

What a weird shape to go with the whitish looking facade! I tink white is more suited for basic/simple shapes because white is a pretty basic colour too! :)

The "checkered" appearance of the facade is quite striking, and the building's overall geometry is interesting. Bulky from some angles, slim from others.

The stumpy crown seems a bit of an afterthought, however, and ought to be a more prominent feature on the building.
