Lebanese Cedar June 9th, 2006, 03:28 PM Yes, as I was going to take that pic, a security officer approached and was going to prohibit me taking pictures. Then I told him that it's not video cam. I wonder why they won't let taking videos.
He didn't have a problem with you taking pictures, but he had a problem with you taking videos? So he thought you were taking videos?
Did he let you go ahead and continue taking photos when he found out it wasn't a video cam?
Either way, that's stupid. Tell him to buzz off next time. :)
nareg June 9th, 2006, 04:03 PM Yup man, he asked whether the device is video cam or simple camera. If I answered him that I will take a video, he would let me do that. But then he found out that I'm taking pics, so didn't argue anymore.

Beiruti April 6th, 2007, 05:31 PM ^^ Oh wow, I didnt even recognize this building at first because it has grown so much. It is nice to see construction rapidly progressing despite surrounding events.
One thing I like (and dont like) is how this building will be a few floors taller (10F) than the other Saifi buildings. I guess we will have to wait and see when it is complete.
Thanks again for the nice updates Nareg!

...
The difference in height might be part of the overall plan of the BCD because it's next to Beirut Gate project so they want to gradually transition from low rises to high rises of Beirut Gate

zouz April 20th, 2007, 09:53 AM has anyone noticed how in the second pic of post #46 the bulding looks as though it will be connected to saifi I ??? is this possible or is that another building under construction ???
Beiruti April 20th, 2007, 05:21 PM ^^ Interesting observation, it seems we need a pic from the other angle to really be sure..but in my opinion it will not be connected I think the building just has an L shape.
nareg April 20th, 2007, 06:17 PM As Beiruti said, that is part of Saifi Village II. It is not connected to Saifi Village I.

AmeriLEB June 17th, 2009, 06:00 PM Deyaar to hand over Saifi Village II in July
AED 365 million residential project strategically located within Lebanon's landmark Beirut City Center
Project comprises 72 luxury apartments and penthouses; all units sold out
Dubai, June 17, 2009: Further highlighting its commitment to hand over seven projects in 2009, Deyaar DevelopmentDeyaar Development PJSC, a regional real estate company dedicated to innovation, customer care and long-term sustainable growth, today announced that it will hand over in July all units at Saifi Village II, its premier luxury project in Lebanon. Saifi Village II comprises 72 state-of-the-art, upscale apartments and penthouses strategically located within the landmark Beirut City Center master development.
Designed by leading Beirut-based architecture firm, Nabil Gholam, Saifi Village II overlooks the iconic Martyr's Square and Debbas Piazza.
"The Beirut City Center is a truly prestigious address in Lebanon and Saifi Village II is strategically located at the confluence of this premier social, business and cultural district," Markus Giebel, Chief Executive of Deyaar said. "The project offers residents an inspirational lifestyle and a chic environment along with state-of-the-art facilities and amenities. We believe Saifi Village II will be a landmark within the Beirut City Center that fully meets the expectations and living standards of our valued customer base in Lebanon."
Deyaar has already invested over US$ 200 million over the past four years in multiple projects within the Lebanese capital as well as the towns of Baabdat and Falougha. The company is actively looking for new opportunities to expand its presence in the country.
"Lebanon represents an important market for Deyaar outside the Gulf region. Deyaar is already an active international investor within Lebanon's real estate market and we look forward to further expand our presence here by continuing to explore new opportunities for partnerships and direct investments. Saifi Village II is the sixth project to be delivered by Deyaar in 2009 and we remain committed to our target of delivering seven projects in 2009," said Giebel.
Beirut City Center is a unique master development that seamlessly integrates business, leisure and residential developments in the same neighborhood to create a contemporary hub unlike any other in Beirut. The project is being developed by Solidere, Lebanon's leading master developer.
"Saifi Village II occupies a place of pride within Beirut City Center and is certain to become a landmark for residents and visitors of the district," said Mounir Douaidy, General Manager and Financial Director, Solidere. "As a trusted and leading international developer, Deyaar aptly embodies the excellence and quality that this beautiful master development stands for. We look forward to welcoming the new wave of Deyaar residents to Beirut City Center."
Situated in the prestigious downtown area, Saifi Village II comprises four blocks of ultra-chic 2-, 3-, 4- bedroom apartments and penthouses sitting amidst landscaped areas and gardens. In addition to the 72 residential units, the project also includes numerous retail units.
Amenities and facilities at the project include ample parking space, basement storage facilities, and 24 hours security.
